What are some good examples of fighters effectively handling their opponent's movement, whether it's the ability to punch on the move, cutting off the ring, timing?

Cotto fought better against hippity-hop fighters than he did against sluggers

Also, Jose Torres against Willy Pastrano comes to mind. D'Amato really seemed to instill in Torres, Patterson, Tyson the art of cutting off the ring.

Chang was obviously incredibly good at cutting the ring.

I think Tyson was at his ring cutting best in the Biggs fight. He also cut off Holmes beautifully. It's why I tend to believe that no version of Holmes could beat Tyson.

Tszyu vs Judah. Maybe Corrales vs Gainer too. Took both guys about 1 round to figure it out.

I was trying to think of some examples of Napoles tbh and Lewis is a good one.

I jumped from a bunch of Napoles fights like Griffith, Cokes and Perkins but ruled them out and went with Lewis for varying reasons.

This is the first fight that leaps to mind for me whenever I think of cutting off the ring. Fenech was one of the very best ring cutter-offers of all time.

    Armstrong-Ross also deserves a shout.

One of boxings great stories- whether it is true or not- is that Marciano slowed down LaStarza by beating his arms.

I know Cotto slowed down Judah by punching him in the balls repeatedly.

Good topic but this is a terrible choice.

Hatton did a good job vs Malignaggi. Probably his best performance ever
