It appears that unlike Chumpez Junior, Camacho Jr, and Eubank Jr... Tim Tszyu might be a legend's son with actual talent.

He just battered Dennis Hogan. You can see that like his old man, he's an impressive offensive fighter... he just lacks the explosive handspeed and reflexes that his old man had.

He looks pretty good so far. But still eubank jr looked liked magic before facing the elites

Read about that on the Irish National News website today, RTE.

Hogans a sad case, deserved so much more over his career.

Tszyu better have a better ability to resist pressure than the old man........Tszyu got by on that vast amateur experience and big power.

You can see him trying to mimic the old man.........just doesn't quite have that razor sharp snake-bite snap to him.

It was only 2 years ago that Hogan beat Munguia and got robbed.

Perhaps in a year Tszyu vs Charlo will be the best matchup at 154.

Tim gives off less fraud vibes than Eubank Junior.

He has a better pedigree to work from, as Kostya can teach him actual skill.

Eubank Senior was largely an instinctive fighter rather than a true technician.

Saw him vs Horn, wasn't really impressed despite the impressive result on paper

Eubank looked far far more impressive vs the same level of opposition imo. Doesn't mean Tzyu is not a better fighter but I don't see much craft in his game. Simply a younger stronger more physical fighter imposing himself on older, smaller limited fighters

Hogan's a journeyman that lucked out by facing Maniguia when he was most likely weight drained. I don't see why he deserved more, even less much more, out of his career

He telegraphs his punches. Admires his work too much. And loads up. Not impressed.

He looks to have physical ability and he doesn't suck but he doesn't know how to fight.

I've watched most of his pro fights - I didn't think much of him before he beat Horn, but he's definitely improved. He's basically got Kostya's entire Australian training team working with him, and makes his way Stateside as much as he can to spar and train at Wildcard etc. Lets face it though, a shot Horn is his best win. Lets see how he goes when someone can punch back.

As for the Hogan fight, Tszyu fought pretty badly I thought, but clearly Hogan poses little challenge and is feather fisted so it allowed Tszyu to try some things I guess.

Have a look at the highlights of the Horn fight, he did beat the crap outta Horn (Starts at 1.06)

He seems to have that ability, like his old man, of landing meaningful shots while retreating. Not just the ‘keep away’ shots that most fighters put out while moving back.

I like him, I think he'll benefit from how shit 154 is.

That's what I mean. And now he's down in Australia taking short-notice beating for fuck all, really.

It was constant intelligent pressure that the old man struggled with.

I don't know if there is a 154lb version of Hatton or Phillips out there.

20 years ago now since he beat Judah.

Agreed, I thought he looked pretty sloppy but he is young strong and game, at least at this level.

Do you think Munguia would be a good fight for Tzyu at this point?

Thats funny you said 154 is shit. The other day I was reading the comments from one of the boxing YT channels I visit...some were saying Jermell Charlo should be top 5 p4p because he cleaned out 154 and is about to become undisputed at 154. And I was thinking shit the two best guys are Charlo and Harris lol. Then you have Munguia(did he move up to 160?) And Hurd. Probably the weakest divisions in boxing. except for those below 118 (sperm weight divisions.)

115 is the best division in boxing.

112, 108 and 105 are much better than 154 as well.

Good point im a big Chocolatito and Estrada fan but their last fight was weak. Frustrating to see two guys throw that many punches and not do any damage.

the people who made that sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond" are thinking about a reboot set in Australia.

    It's called "Nobody Likes Jeff".

Nope. I don't think Tszyu could hurt Munguia, hence he'd probably get walked down.

Tszyu needs to stay at 154 right now.
