I was slightly interested until the shitty cartoonish four arms Goro monster showed up and totally lost me. Heck, even the old movie version looked better.
Bitch from that 2 seconds he was on screen Goro looks much better than the original....night and day...the original Goro looks like lanky and weird like The Mountain from season 2 game of thrones(Harrenhal)...this Goro looks like The Mountain of later seasons. My problem is with Scorpion "Get over here" sound tooo asian......and the lack of characters. Where is Johnny Cage? Baraka? You have Mileena but no Kitana? Where is Reptile is that him at 1:38 or 1:49?
Better fight scenes than the original........any time Scorpion and Sub-Zero were on a scene it was GOOD...but I didn't care for Scorpion's bloodline great great great grandson or whatever the fuck he was or his family..or Sonya...or Jax...or Kano. Why the fuck is Goro so easily defeated in these fucking movies? I don't think I would watch it again....ever... 6/10...not the whole thing at least...that final fight scene maybe... Leave the door open for a sequel...good....enter Johnny Cage...
What about the soundtrack? Is the music good? Because what really made the original popular in the first place was the theme song and its soundtrack.
THERE IS NO MUSIC...NOT that I remember...till the end credits...seriously...NO MUSIC. No tournament...
I thought it was an okay movie. I do like the original better because it was more of a tournament like the game's whole premise. This one comes off as a prequel.
Yeah it was trash. Don’t let the high octane trailer fool you. I think the issue was story and pacing. The story wasn’t terrible but it was weak and you could tell there wasn’t much effort put into it. The characters were pretty one dimensional for the most part, complete with the typical one-liner humor guy who’s every spoken piece of dialogue has to be a joke or wise crack. He’s also the asshole character and has an Aussie accent to really help sell those quips. I actually thought it started well, as the beginning and first fight scenes were the best IMO. It was all down hill after that. Illuminati, I’ll see your “will never watch it again”and raise you: I will never watch the sequel either. 4.5/10 PS: What really pissed me off is I found out later I could have gone to see Mr. Nobody but saw this drivel instead.
Looks fucking dope from the trailer. Are you sure it’s shit? And not a case of tarded-out viewership??
