On top of everything else, he was an idiot for going over to the other fighter's corner knowing he had tampered gloves.
I watched him say that and felt the same thing, in the comments section of youtube somebody suggested that * he was so arrogant that he felt he could get away with it OR *his subconscious conscience drove him to get caught. Clearly, it's the former. He's just a thick violent shit.
