Eastside is absolutely inundated with BJS groupies right now who are convinced he's pulling it off. There's gonna be a mass suicide there come Sat night.

 

Only thing better than seeing saunders flattened would be if he stinks it out yet completely outboxes Alvarez 12-0 and then loses a decision

 

If Canelo gets schooled by BJS then it does tremendous damage to his historical standing.

 

It’s really not close.. there’s just nothing about BJ that screams chance. He shit-talked his way to a payday, and he will take a beating for it.

My only concern is that given Saunders obviously has alot of ‘bitch’ in him, he’ll feel no shame in quitting or finding some quick easy way out once he gets a taste of what’s in for him.. in fact he’ll likely use it as a ploy to try for a rematch. Like ‘he never really beat me, if it wasn’t for my hand/knee/etc i was about to turn it up’. Anyways hopefully that doesnt happen or the ref doesn’t let it happen so easy and forces a descent beating..

Absolutely. However in some ways it would be almost RJJ-Tarveresque... you know that something has gone wrong with the guy to get battered by some B-minus opponent he’d have decimated previously.

It's not that nothing about BJS screams chance. Canelo is NOT some prime Roy, prime Hagler type of invincible. The media portrays him as that, but he's not THAT level of good. Excellent fighter, but not unbeatable type good.

My thing is that BJS has very little chance of DOMINATING Canelo, and that's the only way you're gonna beat him.

I still say the judges won't be a factor though. I expect Canelo's body attack to slow Billy's legs down, and for Canelo to beat him up late.

I don't like Billy's chances, but Canelo isn't amazing enough for me to say that Saunders has NO chance.

Roy was past his prime, and should have never dropped that weight.

Canelo is at his peak, has been active, and is in great shape. IF he gets schooled by BJS, I think it highlights a style limitation that he has, rather than something being wrong with him.

Again, don't put Canelo on this Jones-like pedestal.

Canelo is NOT some generational type talent where he can't be beaten.

It's just hard to beat him OFFICIALLY with his judges.

 

Okay, so I just rewatched Saunders-LeMoo. Hadn't watched it since it aired live.

If that version of BJS shows up, he's got an okay chance. Still can't favor him, as Canelo is miles better than LeMoo, but if BJS can channel that version, he's got a decent shot. Not a great chance, but a decent one.

That fight was 4 years ago though, when BJS was still in his 20s. It's no guarantee that he can he maintain that same reflexes and movement now.

Not gonna lie, a part of me kind of like Saunders but yes, he's simply classless. I don't think he necessarily does it to be mean, just that he's an idiot. Kind of like the thing he did with the crackwhore. Sure it was a bit funny but also highly despicable as this was someone with deep personal issues, no need to humiliate her further

Ok, I'm now pretty excited for this one. Probably just as much as Taylor-Ramirez, even though I think Taylor-Ramirez will be more exciting.

I think its the atmosphere that has me pumped.

 

Quite possibly my favourite film, that. That or Pulp Fiction.

 

No Country is my favorite crime movie, but Snatch and PF would probably make my top 20.

 

Different type of crime film, but I love Law Abiding Citizen.

LAC isn't a particularly quality movie, but Butler's badassery makes it fun.

 

The co-feature, Soto vs Takayama, is quality, but the rest of the undercard looks pretty weak.
