I agree but for different reasons... Wild saturday nights are now a memory for me, I'm at the point where I get annoyed by these late night fights because they're past my bedtime! lol

Its easier to do at your age.

Once you pass 30, you start dozing off at 9 pm sometimes lol.

Hey, you're half my age... I wish I still had the energy to stay up until 5 to watch a fight! (You could set your alarm clock if it's too much for your young body :Jest:)

Single dad here. Staying up till 6 is an impossibility for me. I can be up at 6, but I'd have to set an alarm.

the sleeps I have when I have stayed up all night.......they are great sleeps. Gone to God sleeps. But I wake up tired, no matter long I've been out.

Golden rule: every hour before midnight worth 2 after.

When I was George's age I could have stayed up till 6 for a fight if necessary, but don't recall a time when it was ever necessary.

There was also a lot less access to fights back then - HBO and Showtime was it.

The thing is, back in the 90s you used to have relatively stacked undercards. These days they tend to put everything on the main events and you have to sit through some dreadful shit beforehand. Makes no sense to me from a promotional perspective as surely the best way to build a good fighter's profile would be to showcase him on the card of an already-established star. Tend to just set an alarm these days.

They still do, but only kind of. They will sometimes have a prospect who is 6-0 with six KO's. (against cannon fodder) However it will be so long before the main event you couldn't tell if it was pre or post covid looking at the empty seats.

For the "co-features" it's usually guys who are durable enough to go near enough the allotted distance to bide time. This way they can keep switching the cameras back to the dressing room for exciting things like wrapping gloves and hitting mitts. Also we get to hear terrific insight such as "he really looks focused tonight". Essentially they need to keep reminding you the main event is coming so you don't fall asleep.

Taylor in good spirits. Josh has that same likable, jovial arrogance that Fury has. Not a dark, rude, prick like Billy Hoe.

Here's Ramirez in camp today. You gotta take the good with the bad w/regards to Elle Sackback. On one hand, he's by far the most annoying little weasel that reports on the sport. On the other hand, he gets more access and posts more training camp content than anyone else, by far.

He's not right, something very off with him, Seckbach, like weapons grade Aspergers etc. The way he stares.

Oh and those "Elie and Tanya" photos...very unusual stuff :Jest: :Jest:

If Taylor wins, which matchup is more appealing to yall? Taylor-Lopez or Crawford-Taylor?

Taylor-Crawford, although I'd rather see Crawford face Spence. But I feel like Taylor is too big for Lopez. Would rather see Lopez vs. Prograis.

Spence-Crawford is never happening. Just give up on it, I have.

I would rather see Crawford-Taylor as well, just to see Bud finally get tested.

Do I think Josh could beat Bud? I highly doubt it. Crawford is just too good for Taylor.. UNLESS age catches up him to overnight.

But the point is, Taylor would represent Bud's best ever opponent.

Lopez-Prograis would be a great matchup and hopefully it gets made.

We're as well off just getting up early. I cant do these 6am things anymore. I did that last week and it took me till today to get my sleep pattern back. Legs killing me all week from tiredness.

Less than a week away! Time to put in final predictions.

I still got Taylor by UD or late stoppage, but I can't lie... the recent trend of Mexicans smashing Brits has given me slight pause...

Still, you gotta favor Josh here. He just seems a level above Ramirez.

    Can't wait to find out!

Let's consider the possibility of an upset, which would be more likely: Lopez-Ramirez or Crawford-Ramirez?
