18th floor......... I'd be thinking I was safe, too. I'eve never seen a body of water more than 2 stories high.

The entire North Sea is basically a gigantic infill that happened when a piece of Norway fell off underwater and sent a massive tsunami crashing through the low coastal shore of a large tropical land mass that was inhabited.

Smashed it, and drove on into Scotland killing people there too.

The theory is that methane gas was trapped down there millions of years ago from rotting organic matter, vegetation etc. Unfathomable volumes of gas trapped under ice after a cooling event, released by the melting of ice following a warming event.

Basically climate change heaped on climate change.

All this gas expanded as it warmed, basically shifting trillions of tonnes of matter, which fell off and displaced water, sending a wall of ocean racing south towards Scotland and where the North Sea is today.

This is part of why I laugh at Greta. We're just grundoons down here, scrabbling around. We're gonna wake up some day with a comet up our ass that wipes half us out and leaves the others staring at a stick and think it is high technology.

I thought that sounded odd too. The initial wave after the 9.0 earthquake was 5 stories high. One of the villages that had been hit with tsunamis in the past built a 32 foot seawall and they were hit with a 49 foot wave.

Some of those towns on the coast that are built between mountains just filled up with water instantly. The people there didn't stand a chance.

Over 20,000 people dead or missing.

Aye, England and Denmark were joined together, from roughly where Grimsby is today until about 4000bc. Doggerland they call it now, as per the shipping forcasts. Mesopotamia, egyptian pyramids, early greek civilization all kicking about. Wooosh, here comes the water. Scary stuff

Tottenham Hotspur interim boss Ryan Mason said he expects Harry Kane to remain "100% committed" to the club for their final two matches and that he has not spoken to the striker about his future.

More pointless bullshit. As if there was ever a chance of "I expect Harry to completely mail in his performance for the next two games as he's surely not going to be with us next season."

Anybody watching the games tonight? I hate the way they keep putting a camera on the field and saying shit like "So great to see them [FANS] back"......like they'd just gotten back from Afghanistan and dropped in to catch the game .

They just got through an entire season selling us soccer for the same money- AND MORE BESIDES- and now it's "All about the fans".

Bring back the Catholic Church. All is forgiven.

Of all the results possible tonight, th9is the worst. Basically now need to beat Burnley by a rake of goals and do it again vs Palace. We need two wins AND goals.

Leicester win, draw or Leicester heavy defeat were all preferable results.

I think Kane might go City as they need to replace Aguero and obviously can meet any transfer fee/wage demands.

Transfer might not happen unless he gives it that 110% in the next two games.

A vote on the BBC site had him basically tied at United/City 30% each with some other votes for other clubs, presumably abroad, or Chelsea.

He will be watched closely. Clubs don't want to sign guys who don't try hard and honour their childhood/contractual commitments.

If Harry Kane thinks he can dishonour his childhood OATH to Spurs, and not be noticed by the Honourable Maktoums, he is very much mistaken.

Bookies won't let me look at my bets on Liverpool not making top 4.

I wasn't going to cash out, I just wanted an insight into how they regarded last nights result btw Chelski/Lester.

Liverpool basically between 2.5 and 3 to 1 to Not get it done.

I don't know if I have ever seen Everton fans (I am on four facebook pages for EFC) this negative and pissed off since I have been following them in '04. Certainly it's not our worst season. But the overall feeling is in the last month, these guys had chance to push for top four & they weren't up for it. When those chances slid, they had a chance to push for top six and weren't up for it. And finally, one last gasp at a seventh spot and Europa Conference. A team that was relegated weeks ago is coming to Goodison and we have something to play for. Nope. The fellas weren't up for it. That's a horrible feeling and the fans are furious/dejected/disappointed.

There is a feeling of "What WILL motivate these guys? If top four doesn't then WHAT? WHEN will they care?" Some are blaming the players, some blaming Carlo. I think both have to shoulder it. And now major changes are necessary because everyone knows if we are lingering around top six next May, this squad we have now can't be arsed.

They have a relatively talented squad. On paper they should be at a minimum in a Europa spot it would seem. If that's looked at as a lack of motivation the manager is nearly always going to be the one to take the fall for it.

Even so lets assume for a second it has nothing to do with Carlo. It's still a shit position to be in. You need to sign some motivated/better players in order to move up an challenge for CL spot, but now because you don't have CL football it's harder to attract and sign said players. It's a catch 22.

On one hand people trust a proven manager like Carlo to make big decisions. On the other hand he's been starting Mason Holgate over Mina and Keane at CB. That's some Twilight Zone shit because there's not one Everton fan in the world that thinks Holgate is better than those two.

The "Carlo Out" crowd is still small percentage wise. But their point is that this guy is in his 60s, highly respected, nothing to prove, and cruising through life. And the players are not motivated. What if we had a young hungry manager that was cracking skulls when they play like like shit?

Yeah i'm not sure how much ambition is left in Ancelotti. He's managed some of the biggest clubs in the world and won a pile of trophies. I doubt very much he cares if he gets sacked.

The flip side is if they get a more motivated manager but with less experience at the top level chances are they'll have much less sway with the board when it comes to new signings.

I would love to see more creativity when it comes to free kicks. I suppose one of the reasons we don't is that whether or not it works is that it's bit like a magic trick that has been revealed.
