Starting next month, there's gonna be a big PPV every month through Sept. Next month is Tank-Barrios. July is Fury-Wilder 3. August is Spence-Pac. Sept is Canelo-Plant, though that one may land on DAZN. I think I'll skip Fury-Wilder 3, but I plan on ordering Davis-Barrios and Spence-Pac.
Bud must be punching holes in walls right now. He'll never ever get purse parity with Spence now, nor does he deserve it. Crawford CANNOT fight a bum next, it looks terrible for him. Let's hope its Bud vs Josh in the fall.
Uh, Spence is the one who better worry. Also Crawford because he desperately needs a resume at this point.
The undercard is solid enough, Tank-Barrios will be an action fight, and the Atlanta crowd will be electric. Thats enough for me.
It's an interesting question but i think at this point his legacy is so high and secure it's hard for anybody at that level to move up much further.
Yeah i think they were both waiting around in a kind of Pacquiao sweepstakes game. Crawford lost. He's now probably asking around desperately on what they can do to get Floyd to face him.
Spence didn't really impressed me vs Garcia. If (and that's a big if) Pacquiao can muster the same form he had vs Thurman, this will be competitive.
VADA Tested, 42 Year Old Manny Pacquiao Has a SLIM AF Chance of Beating Errol Spence...Like 10% SLIM, If That... WEIRD Choice of Opponent for Sure... REED
He probably figured if little Mikey Garcia survived the final bell he can too. Would not be surprised if Pac turns the clock back around and makes it look competitive. Remember nobody gave Porter a chance and some including myself thought Porter won.
Whats Mikey "Been Sittin on the Shelf for the Last 80 Years Waiting on a Pac Payday" Garcia going to do with himself now? Apparently Mikey is willing to drop back to 140 for a Tank fight.
What does it say about Spence if he doesn't beat Pac? That's probably the main legacy question. A Pac win simply cements his legacy even further as a top 25 ATG.
I tend to rate Spence on a similar level to how I rate Quartey. Which is very high. For Pac to beat him after two years out, at 42, whilst way smaller would be an extremely great win. Certainly enough to leap frog over Mayweather.
No they didn't! Pac was both the betting favorite, and like 90% of the forum picked Pac. What "most" are you talking about?
A pacquaio win here solidifies Mayweather Jr's legacy as TBE. He'll hold decisive victories over the top 2 boxers on the planet in 2021
You're right. Pacquiao was a slight favorite. Well, at 42, Pacquiao will still be the best opponent Spence has ever faced.
Pac was a slight favourite on the night, but I definitely remember him being a big underdog when it was announced. And I also remember there being a very distinct notion that Pacquiao was too old and that the win was better than a win over Thurman should be because of Pacquiao's circumstances. Anywho, in that fight, Pacquiao looked really aged IMO. He'd slowed, gassed Kate, wasn't as explosive and was easier to hit.
