Not only is a premature, it should be clear that stylistically, Navarrete is made to order for Naz. I can't see what Nav can do to win this match up unless he reinvents his entire style. Naz KO
Premature... Other Than Sheer FANDOM, REED Can't Fathom Why Anyone Would PICK Navarette @ This Point... REED
Navarrette could easily turn out to be better than anyone Hamed ever beat. He hasn't proven that yet, but it's not unreasonable to speculate that he is, in which case picking him over Hamed is justified.
Presently, you could say both their best wins are over 122 pounders - Dogboe and Bungu. Bungu was a level above Dogboe. Naz also has solid wins over: Boom Boom Johnson, Steve Robinson, Manuel Medina, Wilfredo Vasquez, Paul Ingle. So right now, Naz's resume is better than Nav's by leaps and bounds. Thing is, and this isn't Nav's vault, but 126 isn't deep enough for Nav to better Naz's resume. Take a guy like Josh Warrington - Warrington blows. He's actually inferior to a Paul Ingle.
It's not a question of whose resume is presently better. Of course Hamed's resume is better (although it is still shitty). Navarette is just getting started. The question is, is there any basis (other than fandom) to pick Navarette over Hamed. The answer is "yes."
