Disagree completely. He was an eric Lucas level fighter (with more longevity), and was viewed, rightly so, as a fraud in his time. Now there is some revissionists that try to claim he was actually pretty good, but im not falling for it

 

Its kind of sad. You got a talented young champion who lacks power but wants to fight the big names. He wants that smoke unlike Crawford, Spence, Andrade and Charlo who are cherry picking opponents. People can say what they want about Haney. Call him a pillow fighter but he's not afraid to fight fimo, Garcia or Davis. Boxingfans are funny that way.

 

Boxrec's formula has Haney ranked 54. I think he's bottom of the top 10. I'd pick him over anyone at his weight.

He's certainly beatable when he trades like he did last night. I wish he had more head movement. But, his talent and skills are top notch and if he fights to win, rather than impress, he's going to be very, very difficult to beat.

He still reminds me of the non-quitter in my avatar.
