i said the same thing. morris had him in the air, he couldve easily drawn a foul. morris also blew a layup and a few wide open threes at the end of that game. 80 mill for that fucker

I know PG is a much more capable defender than most players in the league, my point is he doesn’t usually have any more defensive responsibility than your average player because either he, the team or both seem to prefer to save him for offense. It’s the same thing with Kawhi.

When they first teamed up everyone thought they had the potential to be one of the greatest defensive teams in history based on Beverly, PG and Kawhi’s defensive reputations. It turns out they weren’t even the best defensive team in the league and settled in around top ten which is good but below expectations. The reason why is because stars simply don’t guard other stars on the regular. Most teams prefer to put defensive stoppers on opposing scorers to leave their own scorers fresh so they can…score. Mitchell was killing the Clippers yesterday and Paul George never got assigned to try to stop him.

PG and Kawhi will always get more steals and better defensive stats than a guy like Middleton but that’s only because they’re better overall defenders than him and therefore are more effective within the teams defense. So other than specific moments such as game 6 when Luka was needed to be contained PG and Kawhi aren’t given any more defensive responsibility than on average.

When the 76ers lose in the playoffs I hope they wise up and trade Ben Simmons. I think he’s overrated. The reason he can’t shoot is because somebody convinced him a long time ago to be a left handed player despite the fact he’s obviously right handed. So instead of doing the intelligent thing and trying to learn to shoot right handed he stubbornly continues to try to get better with his left.

What may be a bigger issue is he has some Wiggins in him in that he lacks consistent motivation and motor. 35 minutes yesterday and barely attempted any scoring and had zero impact on the game.

I wonder who says no in a potential Simmons for MaCullum trade? I’d imagine it’d be Portland because why would they want a guy who can’t shoot and plays hard every now and then who’s also on a max salary.

If Player A Occasionally Defends the Opposing Teams BEST Player and Players B, C, D and E NEVER Do, Player A Obviously Has MORE Defensive Responsibility:Dont:...

Again, There's an EXPECTATION of PG, Defensively...That's Responsibility...

These Days, w/Pick and Rolls and Motion Offenses, Teams Are Singling Out WEAK LINKS On the Court Easier Than Ever...Case in Point, Utah Repeatedly Ran Screens for Mitchell While Kennard was On the Floor, Down the Stretch...Didn't Matter WHO Kennard was Guarding, He'd Eventually Wind Up in a Pick and Roll Scenario w/Donovan and EXPLOITED...

So Even if PG was Assigned to Mitchell, He'd Have Quickly Been SCREENED Out of the Assignment Anyways, as Loooooooong as Kennard was On the Floor...

Ben Simmons' RELUCTANCE to Shoot is Among the WEIRDEST Shit REED's Ever Seen in the NBA...

Like, WORK On Your Shot Bruh???...TAKE Open 3's, Make or Miss:Dont:...It SPACES the Floor...

Simmons Compounds it By Being SENSITIVE AF About Shooting 3's, Discussing Shooting 3's in Interviews OR Being Applauded On the Off Chance he Actually MAKES a 3...

Basketball is ALL About Minimizing Your Weaknesses and Busting Your Ass to Get BETTER...Ben Simmons RUNS From His Weaknesses...

Doc Rivers Is Smart Enough NOT to Make an Issue of It (Yet), But REED Bets Doc Will "ENCOURAGE" Ben to Improve That Aspect of His Game in the Off-Season...

In a Way, Giannis is the OPPOSITE of Ben Simmons...@ Gun Point, Simmons Would Still Be RELUCTANT to Attempt a 3, Whereas Giannis Missed 6 Consecutive 3's to Start the Game and Finished 1-8...

Milwaukee STILL Won, But Giannis BAILS OUT Brooklyn's Defense by Shooting THAT Many 3's...

Can’t say I’m disappointed in the Nets stars getting injured. I hope it happens every year in the playoffs that these deck stackers are together. This is little more than the basketball gods righting an injustice. Now let’s see Kevin Durant actually earn a ring for once…If he can.

    :Jest:

Kyrie's Mid Season MENTAL HEALTH/PERSONAL DAYS Irked the Shit Out of REED, But Harden's Legit Struggling w/His Hamstring...

He'll Need a FULL Off-Season to Get it Back to 100%, So it'll Be Interesting to See How Brooklyn Juggles MUST WIN Games vs. the Risk of Completely TEARING Harden's Shit...Harden's Increased Playing Weight is Probably Contributing....

REED Could Never Get Past the Sheer ARROGANCE of the Big 3 ASSuming 8 Games Played as a Trio was Enough to Win a Championship...

Harden and Kyrie Have BOTH Been Ruled Out for Game 5, So KD Will Need to Be EPIC to Get the W...It'd Be Nice if Joe Harris Showed Up Too...Dude Can't MISS When 2/3rd's of the Big 3 is Intact, Yet Can't MAKE Shit When it's Just KD...

the quick turnaround after the bubble has been problematic for alot of these guys who were never known for durability.

if harden can give it a go he can at least be another threat on the court, at least early in the game until they realize whether or not he can move normally.

i still think whoever wins the milwaukee-brooklyn series will win the title. embiid and chris paul being able to remain healthy through another 2 grueling series is iffy.

Bron, AD, CP3, Donovan, Embiid, Harden, Kyrie...Guys Who Can LEAST Afford to Get Hurt are Getting Hurt...

Even Last Night, Kawhi Sat the Closing Minutes of the Clipper-Jazz Game, w/a Knee Issue...The NBA Definitely Came Back Tooooooo QUICKLY Post-Bubble...

If Harden Plays, Milwaukee Will IMMEDIATELY Test Him as Phoenix Did AD (If They're SMART)...Swing the Ball Until You Get Harden in a Favorable Matchup and Make Him MOVE...On the Other End, PRESSURE His Ass Full Court, to Fully Test that Hamstring...

A (Somewhat) Healthy Brooklyn is Obviously Still a Title Threat, but REED Doesn't Like Milwaukee's Chances at All of BEATING Phoenix, LA or Utah in a Series...

Clippers-Jazz is Going 7, So CP3 Will Get All Kinds of Rest in the Meantime...

I think people are playing the “present injures are a result of coming back too soon” card a bit too hard. I’m sure it likely plays a factor but regarding the playoffs I’m not sure there’s as much evidence to support it if you actually dive into the weeds.

Mitchell, J. Brown, Irving, CP3 and Lebron all had contact injuries and the same thing almost happened to Kawhi yesterday when he stepped on someone’s foot. Harden was out of shape as you alluded to earlier and Davis is injury prone enough that he could pull a hammy shopping for groceries. The same can be said for Imbid but I think he’s been more durable than expected and I actually believe his injury might be the result of overexertion. J. Murray was obviously an exertion injury as well. Luka’s injury could be from contact or due to nerve damage or overexertion of the muscles as I don’t believe the cause was ever fully defined.

Obviously players need rest and recup, I just don’t think the mounting injuries in the playoffs are the smoking gun lots of talking heads are claiming they are.

Is it Pure COINCIDENCE Both of Last Year's NBA Finals Teams Got WAXED In the 1st Round of This Year's Playoffs???:Dont:...

Ultimately, Soft Tissue Injuries Lead to ACTUAL Injuries...And the Only Way to HEAL Soft Tissue Injuries is Thru Rest...Look @ Kawhi, "Mr. LOAD MANAGEMENT" Himself...He's Had Lingering Soft Tissue Injuries Since Toronto and That Fairly Harmless Looking Contact Injury the Other Night has Likely Compromised the Clippers Playoff Chances...

Here's What We KNOW; There Had NEVER Been a Bubble Concept Before, 2 Months After the Conclusion of the Bubble Season, a New Season Kicked Off...Now, We're Witnessing an All-Time High of SUPERSTAR Injuries in the Playoffs...COINCIDENCE???:Dont:...

Personally, REED Thinks the Start of the 2021-2022 Training Camps Should Be DELAYED Until November, as Opposed to October as Planned...They Should Do Another 72 Game Season Also...By Then, NORMALCY Should Have Resumed and They Can Get Back to the Standard 82 Game Schedule 2022-2023...

    nice collapse from philly.

Tobias Harris signed a 5 year / $180,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, including $180,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $36,000,000. In 2020-1, Harris will earn a base salary of $34,358,850

money well spent for his 4 points tonight in a crucial game 5 at home.

Sometimes Your Shit is BROKE:Dont:...Embiid Just Went 0-12 the Entire 2nd Half of the Game Prior...It Happens...

That Said, REED Will Gladly Take 4pts on 2-11 Shooting (0-3 from Three) than Ben Simmons' 8pts on 2-4 Shooting (0-0 from Three)...Until Simmons Plays the Way he NEEDS to Play, Instead of the Way He WANTS to Play, the Sixers (as Currently Constructed) Will Always Underachieve...

It Doesn't Help that Doc Rivers Came In and Immediately PACIFIED Simmons' Reluctance to Shoot from the Perimeter, Either...He Should've CHALLENGED Ben's Ass to TAKE Open Shots, No Matter What...

As Is, Simmons DISAPPEARS Soooooooooo Frequently, People Forget to CRITICIZE His Ass...

simmons role is to distribute and play great defense. Id like to see him take advantage of mismatches in the post more so than taking perimeter shots just to do it. his main problem is he cant make free throws. he should be a 75% free throw shooter.

In the 4th Quarters of the Last 2 Games, Ben Simmons is a COMBINED 0-0 from the Field…

When a 6’10 Starting Guard ISN’T Shooting At All in 4th Quarters of Playoff Losses, That’s a PROBLEM Bruh…

People Keep Giving His SENSITIVE Ass a Pass, But Ben Simmons is THE Issue w/Philly…

the issue is the team they have isnt good enough. he is part of the problem but harris having 4 points is a bigger issue. embiid missing every fuckin shot in the last 2 fourth quarters is a problem. your boy sometimey being out is a problem. their defense completely falling apart at the end of the game is a big problem. this is a team with 3 all nba defenders. if they get more stops simmons would be able to get in transition where he is able to score at times.

embiid being made of balsa wood is the main problem. great talent. never seen a guy his size with his skillset, but he simply isnt built to hold up through multiple grueling playoffs series and continue playing at the high level he did during the regular season.
