Man City bid £100 million for Kane.

Everton break off talks with Rafa amid backlash from fans.

Absolute fucking dickheads. Moronic bell ends. No better than Chelsea fans who initially rejected him and them embraced him after he rescued their season.

A proven winner who knows the system and can definitely do better than TENTH.

Fine. Settle for Jose Manuel Ortega Dos Nascimento Rodriguez Wallenstein, the Brazilian-German mystery man from Spain who will come in and hold the scarf, splurge £540m on shit and get fired in a month.

Rafa left Liverpool 11 years ago.

    ELEVEN.

Get over it lads. Things move on. Owen signed for United, Ince signed for Liverpool, the World goes on.

There were a lot of Everton fans hoping for Rafa and many more that were okay with it. But the loudest voices were the ones against it.

According to the UK press, Everton were minutes away from signing Nuno (48 hours removed from Palace being moments away from signing him.) And then 36 hrs later just moments away from announcing Rafa.

I don't know what's been worse. Reading press reports or the EFC forums and their reactions to it.

FIFA just fined mexico for their fans singing 'Puto'. In a qualifier for a world cup FIFA are holding in a country where being gay is illegal.

Is it confirmed the deal fell through coz of fan backlash? Wee bit surprising in Scouseland.

Stay away from forums- I used to use This is Anfield and it is riddled with utter morons.

I felt Nuno was very close because there was talk that Everton were on the verge of signing a Portuguese player.

The loudest voices are the morons who are most tribal.

    As if Rafa even ever had a beef with Everton, he never did, his feuds were with United and Chelsea. {Ferguson and Mourinho, and their henchmen like Fat Sham Allardyce}

What makes me laugh is that Ancelloti walked away, he quit. It's not like people are queuing up to take these jobs as Everton are still 2-3 years away from having the new money to really compete.

Rafa could come in there and get them on an even keel- I wouldn't want to be facing him, for sure.

It's totally un-Liverpool- and it's all the dafter as Benitez is 11 years out.

It could be that Rafa told them to keep it when he was told he'd have £3.50 for new signings, and the Board/Owners pushed the blame onto the fans.

I wouldn't be surprised, owners and boards being what they are.

They usually have a few minions in the forums to help them get a "message" out, too.

I have seen two separate reports. But as I was pointing out in the next post, it's the same rags posting all of the melodramatic "moments away now" reports about managers.

    So basically, no.

The best put down of this type of horseshit was Christopher Hitchens regarding the "Cartoon" protests in Syria and Egypt.

It was illegal there to have protests. But suddenly, for one or two nights only, protesting was OK, cos it was the Danish embassy that was getting smashed.

Same shit here. "Oh look, bad people, go after them so you don't notice the really bad people".

At least they deigned to invent a lie....Celtic just said the howe deal fell thru due to 'circumstances beyond either parties control' or some shit. Which likewise might be code for 'Celtic's lack of spending power'

A jib is the small sail that sits in front of the mainsail on a yacht.

It's used to manoeuvre the boat when the winds are strong, so you're not catching too much wind.

So a good cut jib is essential as if you have to drop your mainsail your jib needs to be good enough to allow you to keep effectively sailing without catching too much air.

I would like Howe at Everton. I would have been fine with Rafa too.

Some people are saying Everton are delaying things to try to get Martinez back after the Euros. I doubt that would happen but I'd be fine with that.

So you're saying they're going to ram their bratwurst into the Hungarians' goulash?

If Belgium do badly, you won't want him back. If they win, he won't go back. So its catch 22.

What P's me off is these "In the Know" guys on the forums.

"My mates bird is a cleaner down the ground and she was in the Managers office and she saw a bit of paper that said Mbappy on it........... he's signing".

I have a feeling that Hungary have sort of thrown the ranch at their first two games and the Germans are just getting going.

I wouldnt say SIX but I would say 3.5 or more in that game.

Scotland perfectly poised for the trademark glorious failure. Croatia equilizer in the last ten minutes.....or maybe the inverse setting up a rousing finish, an agonising near miss in the last minute. Maybe a bloody head injury thrown in....heroic anguish, the arms & legs of tearful, drunken bodies strewn across Glasgow green

Austria and Denmark through. Brave effort by the Finns.

I'd fancy Wales no worse than 60-40 vs Denmark, especially with GARETH BALE OF SPURS.
