Thoughts on this match up? The fight is officially scheduled for August 14 according to PBC. It's an interesting match up and it'll show us how much Rigo has left and if Casimero is really that good. I'm stoked, but it's still a few months away. Obviously Rigo at his best would have toyed with Casimero, but I think the Rigo we're seeing now will at least make this fight interesting considering how dangerous Casimero can be.

Anyone else actually looking forward to this?

I'm looking forward to it, and agree 100%. It's all depending on how much Rigo has left, because in his prime or even close to his prime, he would have battered Casimero.

it all depends how much rigondeaux can hurt casimero early in the fight. either enough to take him out or greatly deter him. im hoping he can knock the kid out in the first few rounds but i expect casimero to be too much and win by stoppage in the mid rounds.

Kind of lost interest in Rigo after he quit vs Lomachenko. I don't think he's a player anymore.

He is who he is. This over rated kid been tamed and can't cut the ring. Rigondeaux power makes these smaller guys hesitant

what do you think rigondeaux got for that? 200k? 500k? more?

whoever wanna pay him at this point knows what to expect. he's an old ass man who was once a supreme talent and still got something left athletically but he's trying to steal money

Id be really surprised if it was above 500k. Hell, even 500k would be surprising

Probably THE Worst "Anticipated" Fight REED's Ever Seen...

REED Ignored Rigondeaux JUNKING UP the Lomachenko Fight Because it was @ '30...But REED's Disappointed Rigondeaux Resorted to JUNKING UP a Bantamweight Fight...

Bullshit Performance...If He Continues to Fight, it Damn Sure SHOULDN'T Be Televised...

so he got between 200k and 500k to face a world champion at this stage in the game. the mystique and/or punching power of rigondeaux had this guy shook. guy looked like a whirlwind in other fights. so basically there should be zero complaints from fans , opponents or promoters who hire him for a fight.

fans know what to expect, as do whoever else is filling his pockets to steal money

what did you expect? hes old as fuck especially for a smaller guy with that style that relies on movement, reflexes and athleticism.

i think its alot more telling about casimero than rigondeaux. when dude stood in the pocket at times casimero wasnt going to work. he failed to cut the ring. honestly if Id seen how he looked tonight i would have never had any interest in attending his fight with inoue. its a complete mismatch. beyond that if the gonzalez estrada 3 winner steps up to 118 he has a chance at beating this kid.

rigondeaux is one of my favorite fighters of all time but i wasnt willing to go 25 miles and pay maybe what would have been 20 bucks to watch this card. as it turns out one of the worst cards ever at the wargrounds in carson.

you had to figure it was gonna turn out ugly barring a KO inside 3 rounds.

What REED DIDN'T Expect was for Rigondeaaux to Flat Out REFUSE to Engage...AT ALL!!!....

It's One Thing to MOVE, Set Up Openings, PREFER to Counter vs. Leading...It's Another to Completely DISENGAGE @ Every Opportunity, Under Perhaps THE Most Consistently Aggressive Approach You've Had to Deal w/...

In the Past, Rigondeaux was "Boring" Because Guys WOULDN'T Open Up...Tonight, Rigondeaux was "Boring" Because HE Wouldn't Open Up, Even as He was CHASED Round After Round...

One Guy @ Least ATTEMPTED to "Fight" Tonight...And it Damn Sure WASN'T Rigondeaux...

Say What You Will About Casimero's Chances vs. Inoue, @ Least Casimero Will TRY to Win That Fight...Rigondeaux Would Only JUNK UP an Inoue Fight @ This Point, On Some SURVIVAL Shit, & As Such Doesn't Deserve the Opportunity...

Rigondeaux could trouble inoue more if he doesn't get caught early. Casimero gets destroyed early period

I expected the type of performance from Rigondeaux. He's old as fuk and just hunting paydays. Casimero chased but didn't open up much, take major chances or cut the ring properly. He looked terrible
