I think cooney looked good up to the holmes fight, and even in thst one, he gave a decent account of himself. After that, he was really pathetic, and it makes me wonder if he wasn't a fraud all along. Yes i know he was s heavy cocaine user, but so was leonard

May seem like blasphemy to say this because he's such a respected HOFmer, but I consider Mike McCallum among the most overrated fighters OAT, though probably not #1.

Fights between guys with big power and questionable punch resistance like Cooney and especially Morrison are tough to call because of the unpredictability.

Morrison did more of a history of responding better to adversity than Cooney, but he wasn’t always able to overcome it. He got taken out in 2 minutes by Michael Bentt.

Mike McCallum was phenomenal. In the same way that Azumah Nelson was phenomenal, not in the same way that Marvin Hagler was.

 

I don't think it's blasphemy at all. I find Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson highly overrated even though I rank them #1 at Hw and GOAT respectively.

 

For me, eubanks is among the most overrated ever. I like the guy, but his resume is ultra shallow, and he needed friendly judges way too much even against his horrendous opposition. Yet, some people act like he's a good level a guy like Froch

 

Eubank is a weird one for me. I agree with a lot of what you say, and I'm pretty neutral about the guy. I think Benn tried to prove himself a lot more and took on tougher opposition, but then Eubank did beat Benn, so...
