Will Canelo go down as greater than DLH?

this really discredits his win over berchelt, which was not expected and before which valdez's stock was slumping somewhat.

 

Juiced or not, Berchelt's horrible defense got exposed.

 

Berchelt didn't look half as good as he was vs Vargas and Muira. Clearly the weight making hurt him badly, plus Valdez boxed incredibly on the night regardless of juice. Plus, unless it was used for masking more powerful drugs, it doesn't seem like the PED he popped for massively enhances him.

 

Yeah but the half life of it is 20 hours. I don't think it helps you after that, bar for the weightt loss

 

if it doesnt help guys they wouldnt take it. who's to say this motherfucker wasnt taking the shit every day for weeks if not months until he got caught.

 

Well it could make him lose weight, but that's pretty much it. if the half life is 20 hours, that means the effect of the drug are pretty much gone afterward, unless it make some long term change to the body (like roids). I see a lot of people overrating De La Hoya's accomplishments. There is no question Oscar fought the creme of the crop back in his prime. He faced the best and never ducked anyone but did he beat the best? It seems to me whenever he stepped up and had a chance to be Great he came up short. He came up short against Hopkins, Trinidad and Mosley. His biggest win was against Quartey a fight that could have gone either way. Quartey a hall of famer himself also lost to Vargas, Forrest and Wright. I'm not sure if he was a better champion or as dangerous as GGG who I consider to be Canelo's biggest win on his Resume. Canelo is in his prime and is already a sure first ballot hall of fame. If he beats Plant imo he'll pass Oscar in terms of legacy. Even if we gave Oscar a pass for quitting against pacquio and losing to Mayweather Canelo is still better because he's never been beat up like that.

 

Can anyone imagine Canelo getting dropped by a little bodyshot(ala Hopkins-DLH) and pounding on the canvas like a little girl?

Anyone can get dropped but that body shot that dropped Oscar in the Hopkins fight looked weak as hell.

 

It was a a devastating punch. Almost as lethal as that shot Tyson hit Seldon with.

 

thing is, body shots do not need to be hard if they hit the liver. that said, i agree odh just quit - he didn't want to end up with a chipmunk face like joppy did. he took the easy way out. plus, bodyshots are probably the easiest to fake.

 

looks like plant got a cut from this slap boxing fiasco they staged to drum up ppv sales at the presser.

 

I just saw it. To be fair, it didn't look staged at all. Looked like a legit altercation. There's never any punches thrown in staged press conferences altercations, because it's too risky.

"Staged" is when you have a fight with zero interest, and no real beef between the two, so you gotta manufacture some fake beef.

Canelo and Plant are both hot heads, and they seem to legitimately dislike each other. It looked very legitimate.

 

I think Plant looking for a way out. Vanilla ice acted hard and got bitchslapped.

This altercation is all over the mainstream sports news.

I have a feeling this fight might at least flirt with 1 mil buys - I think it's gonna outsell Fury-Wilder III by a lot. That fight is only three weeks away, and no one really cares.

This is the first time in a long time that Canelo isn't stuck behind a platform that 37 people watch. A lot of people are gonna tune in imo.

Just to clarify Caleb Plant said something like mother fucker but that's just ghetto talk not really a diss on Canelo's mom. Canelo took it personal because English is not his first language and in Spanish or in Mexico talking about fucking your mom is the worst insult. So when you think about it it's pretty funny to see Canelo so triggered by that. Caleb sweet Cheeks Plant is a funny dude he said Canelo must be" roid raging". I'll give him that. Having said that he's in for a world of pain.
