In regards to other results, aren't Wales basically in the playoffs anyway because of the Nations League thing (I don't have a maths degree so I can't work out how that shit works). If that's the case what's the bloody point in their qualifying Matches? They're obviously not going to overhaul Belgium.

Its utterly mad. We're being chumped off thanks to this interwoven maths connundrum.

100% agREED. He sets things up far too defensively. The entire gameplan largely consists of recycling the ball, over and over and over until either the opposition get tired and make a mistake or someone pulls a rabbit out of the hat and shoes a worldly. Works no bother against dreck but isn't going to win anything.

And everytime they score first against any halfway decent side, you know what happens next. That was a great example. I thought England really dominated the second half and played well. Then they scored and, out of nowhere, Poland, who looked shot three minutes beforehand, suddenly started to look dangerous and stars getting possession in and around the penalty box.

It's the same, all the time. So frustrating, because I agree that this is a very good bunch of players.

Oh no question about that at all, and I commend Southgate for taking us out of the doldrums, just don't think he's the man who will get this team to realise its potential and cross the line. Saying all that though, who would replace him? No one immediately comes to mind.

I think Southgate is a decent manager who fancies himself as a brilliant one. He has also benefited enormously from the best group of England players since the late 1990s.

I like those kinds of matches, where it's actually competitive and both teams come to win. Too often these days though we are battering diddy teams like San Marino and Andorra which mean nothing.

To be fair I've watched a few highlights of Luxembourg and they're not pushovers any more. Not sure what they've done exactly to change things after so many years of being complete shit but they've got some decent players now and are getting good results. Even when they lose they still seem to be creating chances and scoring goals.

This is the worst Ireland team I've ever seen though, apart from the keeper they're woeful.

Ian Wright was on point tonight. It was embarassing to see him interrupted by that dinner lady who got into the studio. Earnshaw was good too.

Probably Lux have money and programmes to develop talent. They might be siphoning off talent from the BeNeGer like Ireland used to in GB.

Worst Irish side in 40 years, absolutely no doubt, at all.

BAZUNU looks a player but its hardly tge question. It's like saying you got shit roads and good doctors.

Talent is not there. We've got mass immigration, total soccer saturation, highest population since 1848 and worst team since 1974 :Jest:
