    That's a stupid fucking price.

Yes I was down around it this evening.....river was out but not enough for a beachcomber run. Too much mud.

Didn't realize it was that pricey. Literally nothing to warrant that price, river or no river.

Hare and Hounds up on Upper Richmond Road not far behind them at £5.50 for a Fosters but they're way more centrally located and they've got proper gardens.

Go down to the Jolly Gardeners... :Jest: fuck me their clientele is WINNING... The minute I see games machines, I'm out of there.

Them and the Tapestry... Their time has come and gone alas.

I walked along the back of the stag brewery towards Barnes... It'll be a mess if that development ever kicks off.

You don't understand. It's beside Palmerstown House and it's where the Boatrace ends. Oh and the river floods the forecourt. People will happily pay for these little extras.

Its an unsettling thing to see a venue try to cling onto its former glories long after they've passed.

Not a problem we've ever had here of course

Tennis on the Chiswick side and the fitness center near Barnes Bridge. Looks pricey.

Do what I do... Get kitted out on the charity shop then bang balls off a walk until you get told the homeowners kids are still in bed....

    £15 from cancer research.

Does it have a patio on the river? Maybe the price is set that way because of the good chance of seeing a whore wash ashore.

Yeah its the most pricey pub I've been to I would have to say, it's a shame as like I said it's a really nice looking place but that is extortionate and as you say there's really no justification for it.

Yeah I played a fair bit casually but my cousin who I met up with last week has given me the kick up the arse I needed to get out there and join a club, for both the social aspect and fitness. He's right too, it's been an awful year for me and it's a good way to get moving forward again. Chiswick has some nice tennis/sports clubs around, as does Isleworth weirdly, so I've been scouting a few out and will have some play-in Matches, see how it goes.

I have an airbike and a dug. Walked the dug down to the Ship at 0600, Barnes and home again, about 4km. Then tescos for bananas. Then home and 15 minutes of football with the dog. Basically me running after/away from her. Grabbed a shower then a haircut. Slept till midday/oneish waiting for the Dow to open and Bannons show to start at 2pm/3pm..... No action today so at 4. 30pm did 288 calories if work in 45mins, then fed the dug checked a few stocks... Nothing doing the collapse of Evergreen and impending debt ceiling crisis has the Dow on queer Street. 6 15 back for another 4km walk.

That's my exercises for the day done lol

Great Nirvana doc on BBC iPlayer where Dave Grohl said the best time the band had together was in Shepherd's Bush in 1990, the year before they became huge. I'm sure a visit to Loftus Road probably sealed the deal on that front...or not.

I paid 7.80 for a pint in Marble Arch, Manchester recently I think that was a new record. Its crazy how Wetherspoons can keep charging £2.20 for a good cask ale while everyone else creeps up from 4.10 to 4.60 to 5.50 or higher for gassy keg shit. I just sit outside so I dont have to look at their saga cruise carpets or clientel.

Fuck man, £7.80 is insane. Was it at least some kind of specialist, limited-edition beer or something?

Just a standard local cask ale, as far as i could tell. They were all more or less the same price. I think its one of those situs where somebodys bought over a slightly rough local/trad pub in a newly gentrifying area and they're consciously trying to chase off the old locals :Jest: those are always the most expensive places, ime. Loved the decor tho

    In before Slice!!!

    "You rrrrrssssssrrrsssssrrrssss....."

QPRs 5th penalty..... Tip of yer mickey stuff.

I presume Andros Townshend was booed as he used to play for Spurs and Palace which would make him a former player of a"rival" club.

But QPR haven't been on that level since 2012, right?

QPR ground and nets remind me of 80s football.
