usyks reflexes are too good. he'll get inside and if fury is to win i think it would be by him leaning all over usyk and grappling on the inside to tire him out. more so than with his skill keeping usyk on the outside at the end of his jab.
I think we pretty safely say that given AJ's abysmal defense and shitty chin, that he would have been a goner against Fury or Wilder.
why? I say he would have KOd wilder and id pick him to do so if they fight next year. wilder could win, but i certainly wouldnt make him a favorite.
While I'm a bit surprised he lost, I always thought Joshua was garbage so not too shocked either. Both loses handily to Fury
After about 8 rounds, Joshua appeared to have figured the guy out. He then proceeded to do absolutely nothing other than get hit in the head repeatedly.
AJ never met a punch he could avoid. Beyonce can't fight a lick, but he can punch like Hell. When Wilder lands, how on Earth is AJ's glass chin gonna handle it? I hate both, so I have no dog in the fight, but Wilder would lay him out brutally.
The thing, for me, is that Wilder would go in there expecting and believing he could and would KO the guy. Joshua would go in there with no philosophy of how to approach the matter other than to just hope he landed something and Wilder went over.
If Wilder inexplicably windmills his way to victory in the third fight, does Usyk out-box Wilder for 12 rounds or does he also land a windmill
I thought Usyk would win easier but ultimately it was a big bodybuilder who can't really box vs a guy who can.
Joshua is a loser. This fucks up the long awaited unificati0n yet again. At this rate, I expect a Fury-Wilder IV.
He got fucking worked over bro, come on. There is literally no incentive for him to lose that fight whatsoever.
No, I knew Joshua always had flaws but I still fancied him to win and I have admitted that was badly wrong. After 8 rounds I felt both men were in a good position to go and win the fight. Only one did. Only one man went after it. Joshua was physically and mentally shown up by the better man.
Nah read what I said mate "If I didn't know him better"............. I know he got totally worked over. But if you flew in from Zog and watched that you'd say "Hey one guy isn't trying, really".
Really? Joshua looked clueless to me really early on. I was saying to my mates from the third round on that he was getting peppered with the left like Pac on DLH.
I get what you mean but I don't think it was a case of Joshua nor trying, he just wasn't good enough to work it out. Usyk was turning him inside and landing the straight left at will.
Just watching it again on youtube.......Usyk throws the lead right in an arcing fashion over Joshuas extended jab/left arm and into his face. Joshua then theatrically bends over to his own right hand side to get out of the path shot. This brings him into the range of the left backhand, or Usyk just moves off and resets. Invariably, he winds up *getting hit *burning energy *not being in position Didn't they work on ANY of this?
OK agreed.......so you have a choice, stand still and get worked over, or go hell for leather. Just charge across the ring, barrel into him, push him through the ropes, do something.
