You ought to be glad that he's so committed to football that he's not had time to give this other thing 60 seconds of rational thought.

Hut, I know the Glesga clubs have declined somewhat but the Edinburgh sides seem to be performing well this year from what I've seen. Is it just typical early-season success or could you see them hanging around for the long haul like Hearts in 2006?

I actually hope so tbh, itd make the season more interesting, but generally even the best hearts/hibs teams hit a wall in March latest due to squad depth issues. But as you say....they might never have a better chance than this season.

Hibs blew it. Just a junkies club at the of the day. Still it's better than being a repository for inbreds

    Here's a fucking idea:-

Shove your fucking notions about Covid up your hole and stop asking James Milner to get tabs on Phil Foden.

    Now, fuck off Jurgen.

I remember you saying once that if Edinburgh had one club as opposed to two they would be genuine contenders to the Old Firm, can definitely see that reasoning.

I saw a stat this morning - in the league games so far celtic have missed 22 'good chances' (xg >0.7) the next team in the league 8.....rangers only 5. Rangers are toothless, they're not creating - when their legs tire they'll stop pulling these tight games out the fire. If we can stay in touching distance then address that midfield in january I think we'll romp the second half of season

Its a cool wee stadium in a really good wee area. Easter road itself has some good pubs. Thats something i envy the Edinburgh clubs for - the old firm stadiums are both marooned in post apocalyptic shite holes :Jest:

I mean, it's Glasgow vs Edinburgh.

Ibrox looks like a cross between a Dickensian mill and some sort of a reform school for very naughty children.

It's an imposing example of hyper-Victorian architectural chauvinism.

It was a fantastic game I have to say, elite-level football. Salah's goal was wonderful, I've missed seeing individual brilliance like that.

Speaking of bias how has there not been a sectarian building inspector finding all sorts of "problems" with Celtic Park or Ibrox and shutting them doon? :Jest:

    Mutually assured destruction mate.

Whatever harm one could cause the other could easilly be reciprocated and then of course they basically needs each other to stay alive.

Look what happened to Celtic when Rangers went DOON.........Rangers had full houses and cunts cashing their giros as fast as they got them to send £££ to whatever Charlatan/Govt apparatchik was cooking the books at the time.

Celtic basically self-liquidated so Dermot could buy a half a gallon of racehorse cum or whatever.

Yokohama Japan had two clubs. Yokohama Marinos & Yokohama Flugels. In 1998 the rival clubs merged to give the city a power club. They became Yokohama F Marinos & have had great success since.

But Flugels fans were left scratching their heads about the merger. They kept the Marinos colors. They kept the Marinos name. They play in the north of the city where Marinos have always played. They basically took the Flugels money, dissolved the club, added an F to their name and called it a merger.

A protest club, Yokohama FC was born. With the Flugels old colors and in the heart of the city.

Given their stories, I wanted to be a Yokohama FC fan. But I just can't. They're so short on money and talent.
They make it up to the top league, J-1, every five years or so and have absolutely no chance of ever staying up. I loosely follow this league and only go every other year so I need a team that's at least going to be on TV in the top league. So I support Yokohama F Marinos.

Most of these so called "mergers" seem to be takeovers designed to avoid any kind of anti-competitive action from governing bodies. Looks like in this case they barely even tried to hide it.
