Captain obvious is apparently a sports writer for ESPN now. Check out this jaw dropping headline:

Messi: Various clubs wanted me after Barca exit

Never in a million years did i think that more than just a single club would be interested in the services of one of the best players in the history of the sport. Thankfully these news sources help me stay informed.

    GB news fucking rocks.

It is hard not to, considering the others are all pallid shithouses of wokery and sanctimonious drivelry.

Anybody watching this Spain vs France shite?

I watched it from the pub. Was Mbappe's winner not offside? It looked it when I see it once, live.

I didn't see it but the BBC was falling over itself to report on it in a fashion that didn't say it was offside and didn't say it wasn't , simultaneously. :Jest:

Fuck me there's been some pearl-clutching going down on ITV tonight.

On the field, England have been bang-average but I expect them to find a way once Hungary tire.

Much better than in Hungary. I think England must find it hard to keep getting motivated for these games. Qualification is done, in essence.

In the meantime, Gareth Southgate tries to keep things fresh which can of course result in disjointed performances.

Sako is on and Grealish is off.

Foden has played well, the git.

    Kane...anonymous, largely.

Five Man Shitty players in the starting lineup. And it shows. :duck:

Kane has been really poor since the start of the season it has to be said. It can't all be down to the failed transfer, the guy's been shite.

Add up all the injuries he has had over the past 3 years.......I've lost track, he's been out for weeks and weeks at a time.

He played the Champions League final when he wasn't fit.

    That adds up.

He's just missed a chance and been subbed.

I wonder will City come back in for him at all?

I was wondering the same thing. Would he deliberately tank his performances in order for Spurs to be less reluctant to sell? I would highly doubt that but eyes will open up if he transfers over to Citeh and starts banging them in.

He better be careful. With Newcastle on the rampage the prices might go up and he'll be up in St James realizing his childhood desire to play for Juventus.

Yeah it degenerated badly in the 2nd half. Hungary could have won it.

Checked my phone immediately when I was in Tesco:-

"England held after TROUBLE IN THE STANDS"

    Thank God for morons, eh?

These footballers are complex sophisticated men. They are on another level, emotionally. Who are we to peer into their nebulous thoughts and draw conclusions?

Whole thing lasted about fifteen seconds and involved about fifteen fugs braying a few coppers.

    Precisely.

The narrative is that some geezer called a steward a name.

That's probably true but like all things I'd like to see the context.

But why is it when we have real aggro in the real world we dont have 25 baseball capped coppers showing up to have a go?

Why does Police "activity" always have to be so controlled and applied in a uniquely goody goody fashion?

Nothing against the long suffering fans & nothing against the city but it would be the funniest shit in the world if Newcastle got relegated this season.

Just to see the Saudis try to flex their muscle & build the club while in the Championship.

    Pipe down, El-Feebles Al Gatesheed.

    Hear about Katie Price?

She was in a major car accident and was rushed to A and E with cuts and lacerations and a suspected concussion.

Doctor said "How many fingers have I got up".

Katie said "Oh no, I'm paralyzed from the waist down too"

I don't know if that's an old joke in the UK but Coogan used that line on his Alan Partridge live reunion stage show.
