Cotto was clearly better than Brook and Thurman IMO. He'd beat Porter a lot easier than those two did.
Cotto . I think it’s a rough fight for him due to Porter’s strength and aggression. But I think Cotto takes a hard fought decision here.
Cotto couldn't punch like a Tito or Oscar, but I think his left hook would hurt Porter. Enough that Shawn wouldn't just rush in. I think Cotto wins like 9-3.
Cotto was a tidy, picturesque boxer when he chose to be. He had a heavy jab, a decent defence and good feet. His offense, even on the back-foot, was levels above the likes of Brook and Thurman. I don't think Porter's style gels as well with Cotto as it did Spence.
Yeah, Cotto to me was a "very good" instead of a "great," but he was certainly a level above Brook and Thurman.
