Herring vs Stevenson

Just watching the build up for this on Sky, and I'm looking forward to the fight's result. Not so much the fight itself, which figures to be passive and boring, but I think the winner of this is clearly the number one super featherweight in the world.

It's a pretty awesome match-up to be made.

 

And I hope we can all agree Stevenson is an absolute cunt, and Herring is a cool guy. I'd absolutely love it if Herring sparked him out, but I think Stevenson wins.

 

I can't see Herring winning at all.

 

I can. If Stevenson isn't great at cutting the ring, Herring's length and jab could win a close decision. As it looks, Stevenson's complete lack of urgency makes it seem like he has trouble with mobile guys. I tend to think he'll be able to deal with Herring's height, but it wouldn't surprise me if he can't.

I lost track of fights, btw. I didn't realize this was next week. I'll tune in.

Shakur definitely seems like a better talent than Haney.

I haven't been following either, but from what I know I'd expect Stevenson to 'out-talent' Herring. Still, it would be nice if Herring won. It would be another upset to add to the 2021 Boxing books.
