Fight week! Best fight of the month (on paper).

Final picks? I've changed my prediction from Crawford by UD, to Crawford by late stoppage. Yes, I did pick Spence to stop Porter, and I was wrong, but I'm thinking this will be different.

Crawford is a faster, and more explosive hitter than Spence, and when he gets guys in trouble, he's arguably the best closer in the sport at the moment.

I think Porter will eventually walk onto some big counters he doesn't see coming and get put down, and finished off.

I tire at all the fucken robberies, watch what happens after the beatdown, Crawfish will head off to the sick bay and you wont see him again for at least 3 fucking years.
After busting the unfortunate Daphne Spence, it didn't come without a few suprises, so Shawn might consider leering through the window of female self-defense classes to get an idea of what's in store for him this time, it's a given he start by winding his thick hefty coil into TWO cups,.....but what else?

My only fear about this fight is that we get a sparring session, as these two are legitimately friends. I hope it doesn't affect them going all out.

 

I wouldn't worry about that my son , this is Shawn Porter we're talking about, only reason he looked a bit mangey against Ugas is because they gave him the ivermectin for humans, instead of the one for bulls specifically.

crawford is under a lot of pressure. can he retroactively earn the p4p ranking he got but didn't deserve? or will he struggle (or even lose) and thereby vindicate his naysayers?

 

Crawford isn't reaching P4P #1 regardless of what he does to Shawn tomorrow.

Canelo's recent body of work is just too strong for one win over Shawn fucking Porter to put Bud at 1.

Any elite fighter SHOULD beat Shawn Porter - he's a B-level fighter. If mediocre ass Keith Thurman can beat him, then Bud BETTER beat him.

Beating Taylor in 2022 will impress me more than beating Porter.

 

Usyk is P4P number one.

Beating Smith, Saunders and Plant isn't nearly as impressive as winning the unified heavyweight championship.

 

I don't have any complaints with Usyk at number 1, but beating AJ doesn't have tremendous luster IMO. He's a scrubby oaf. But yeah, number 1 is between Canelo and Usyk.

Bud and Inoue are 3-4, whichever order you wanna put them.

 

2022 will give us a better P4P picture. If Usyk can upset Fury (assuming Fury isn't retired), then he's the #1 P4P by leaps and bounds. But if Canelo and Usyk lose in 2022, and Bud beats Taylor, then Bud can climb to the top spot.

Crawford-Taylor seems pretty inevitable at this point. Either Porter or Catterall would have to score big upsets for it get derailed.

Nah, I really don't hate any current fighter besides Wilder.

Canelo, Inoue, Fury, Usyk, Taylor, I'm neither a fan nor a detractor.

You could call me a fan of Crawford, Spence, and Fimo, but not like I used to be. All three now kinda irk me.

Boots Ennis is literally the only fighter in the sport I'm a big fan of.

 

I like Crawford, but I'm gonna be very blunt - if Porter beats him tomorrow, then Bud's career is somewhat of a sham. This is his litmus test.

I seriously doubt he doesn't win though. He's so much better than Porter... or at least appears to be.

I expect him to have a Rocky moment or two but overall he’s just too smart and skilled to lose to a guy who though strong, is not a big KO puncher and who’s rather crude in his approach.

 

Nah, I really don't hate AJ. Not thinking much of a fighter doesn't mean I hate them.

AJ seems like a good dude. Just really limited as a fighter.

Porter could win some early rounds by sheer volume, but that volume may not be as prominent due to what's coming back.

 

Pops Porter must fuck off. Junior is not winning with patience, timing and illusive maneuvers. Don't teach a pig mathematics. it's 36 straight minutes of hooks or die.

 

Yeah, it would be pretty goddamn stupid to have Shawn in there trying to box with Bud.

He has to fight exactly like he did against Spence, and hope for the best.

Porter Doesn't Use Profanity, Doesn't Drink or Drug and is a Genuinely NICE Guy, But He's a Motherfucking DOG in the Ring, for Better or Worse...& Bud is a MEAN Ass Dude @ the Core...

Spence and Porter were VERY Cool Also, But it Didn't Matter Once the Bell Rang...

Yeah, Porter doesn't seem to separate friend from foe once the bell rings, and Crawford seems like the kinda guy who'd knock you out regardless of whether they were good mates or not. Stone cold with a mean streak.

 

I can’t see Porter letting it be a sparring match. For all his limitations, he always comes to win. I think Crawford will be all too willing to engage. There’s pride on the line here and Crawford is gonna want to outdo Spence.

I think Porter will get in plenty of licks and he’ll win some rounds. He might even do enough to make it “controversial.” But I still like Crawford to win a deserved decision. I think he’ll hurt Porter and I think Porter might hurt him as well but class tells.
