Very sad. Also wondering if he had some other mental health issues unrelated. Mental illness is genetic, and apparently his brother had some mental disorder. Or unless that was just the legal defense when he tried to clap Jesse Reid.
I was first concerned when I saw clips of him at the HOF. Jackson got up there and gave a long and inspiring speech. Julian was lucky to walk away from the game brain damage free. Then Curry gets up there and can barely string together a sentence. He really is the worst off out all of the living greats. I cant think of another current great who demonstrates more brain damage. I mean, Hearns slurs, but Tommy is still mentally sharp. Still has his motor skills intact. Curry isn't mentally sharp at all, and his motor skills have dulled. He's in pretty bad shape. I hate to be pessimistic, but Curry will probably be gone within the next 10 years.

Hearns has the slur too, but like I said, Tommy is still mentally there. Same with Nando Vargas. He slurs, but is still mentally sharp. Curry is beyond punch drunk. He appears to have dementia.
The danger of having 400+ amateur bouts before turning 18. Ray Leonard probably could have suffered the same fate if he didn't blow out his retinas which enabled him to take multiple breaks
Not sure how old this is but he definitely doesn't look too bad indeed. No slurring and memory seems good, even though he speaks super slowly but that might just be how he is You can see signs that he's in fact probably suffering from CTE but it's quite subtle, at least in this setting.
Looking at him though, really weird that he was a major ass kicker in his time. Looks quite harmless and even a bit effeminate (yeah I know the stories , did he ever acknowledge them though?).
Curry's Sad But Important Story is a Tale That Needs To Be Told Curry is in a bad way. Attacked his sister as she slept. The Curry story isn't gonna end well. Seems like the CTE is taking over pretty quickly.
Yeah, the ''struck her while she slept '' part is very fucked up. Considering that, unlike Jermaine Taylor, he has no money left, his outlook seems pretty grim...
