Is on for February 19. Talk about a fight past its expiration date. I have no clue who wins at this point, nor do I care who wins, nor does it matter who wins. Both are finished at top level. This is purely a bragging rights fight. If DAZN picks it up in the US, I'll watch. If its PPV, there's no way in fuckin Hell I'm ordering it.
I think it'll be on ESPN. That's who Sky have partnered with. But it's a pointless fight now. 6/7 years too late.
Genuinely thought Khan had retired. As I said in a different thread, I wasn't all that interested in this fight when they were in their prime, let alone now. I guess I'd slightly favour Brook at this point as he's fought more recently at a higher level and had more success against Crawford than Khan did, despite being stopped earlier.
10 years too late. But I’m assuming both will make big money. The winner could possibly get one final title shot at 154 lbs against the Charlo-Castaño 2 winner, I suppose. I think Brook KO’s Khan.
It's not pointless. It's gonna bring out the mong element and there will be much clamour and general street vulgarity. All the animals will be out for their respective man, fruntin, wearing their best labels and there'll probably be a few stabbinz before durin after. I think Alex Scott should do the commentary. Gammons gonna put the money up. But this isn't a Gammon Affair.
If ESPN picks it up, I'll watch. Just because it's a fight to watch. But yes, at least 6 years too late. I predict Khan wins now. Prime-for-prime, I think Brook would have pasted him, but Brook is likely more shot than Khan.
Aye, this is a shameless money grab but they genuinely don't like each other, so the build-up might be a laugh. It's PPV here, so no chance I'll watch. Ten years ago, aye, but not now. MTF
Exactly. Nowaday, I don't have much patience for those ''past their expiration date'' fights. I got fooled by Tyson-Lewis when I was a boxing neophyte but not anymore. It's all about collecting a paycheck while (usually) taking the least risk possible.
Get yourself some IPTV mate. This fight is basically a manifestation of Drill/Grind culture. Like I say, the Gammons gonna put the hard cash up but it's gonna be - at best, at best- dressed up as a War of the Roses bullshit. I can't think of anything more culturally appropriative than these two lads being dolled up as Reet Lancashire and Reet Yorkshire but there you have it, I digress. At worst- and this is what it will come down to- it's going to be a load of "Affiliated" morons fronting and threatening each other. Weapons grade-shade will be thrown.. Can't wait
The irony being that they'll make more for this than for better fights they had in far more risky circumstances. I'd go so far as to say that this is what happens when Eddie Hearn runs out of options. He's just had two of his main attractions sparked brutally and AJ is in dry dock making idle threats and muttering to himself. Hearn has fuck all going right now. This sort of shit is right up his alley. Load of fake cardboard cunts milling about, pardon the pun, with cheesy Eddie grinding away in the background telling everyone what an epic event this going to be.
These two genuinely don't like each other. I think the build up is going to be funny. It's past its sell by date but it will be a good fight for as long as it lasts. Both have slowed down which will make for a war. I favour Khan to win but we all know Brook needs to land only one good shot and it will be over.
Hurts neither man but probably suits Khan more.... I'd have preferred Brook to have a ceiling of 155.
As per Feebles and Xplosive it's not worth a dime of our hard earned but its bound to be a good ride all the same. Its going to be so funny. I can't wait for the face off. Two of them trying to trade insults, all their mongy fans leaping about on social media with threats and insults.
Hes a superior fighter and a lot more likable. Plus, he had the guts to take on close to prime GGG when the middleweights didnt. RESPECT
Khan studiously avoided the British scene back in the day having decided that the risk to reward ratio simply wasn't worth it following desperate battles with Limond and "Gomez", both of whom dropped him. After that, him and his little corner shop/property portfolio manager decided they didn't want him to take those sort of chances any more. Khan was always like David Haye. He always tried to pull more out of boxing than he put into it. Right from day 1 they were trying to get him an internationally flavoured resume.. Brook didn't do much domestically but he did fight Jennings and Hatton who were two of the better domestic fighters and did so with no problems. I hope Brook smashes him.
A horribly mismanaged fighter who could have won a major title. No discipline. Quite mad. He was very good but no direction. He shocked the shit out of Khan and others.
Brook looked VERY fragile against Bud. Hes more shot than a lot of yall think. His chin probably isn't much better than Khan's at this point. And Khan figures to land first. Had this happened in 2014, I have zero doubt Brook would have smashed him. But hey, he still might...
Not if its ppv over here. Fury vs Wilder 3 needed weeks.... Any remaining uploads were real low quality
I think it bears mentioning that Khan hasn't fought in over two years, and he looked like shit before then. The last time he really got up for a major fight was in 2016. I think he's every big as shot as Brook, even though Brook's decline has been scary fast. However, while fragile, he still looked decent vs Crawford at first IMO. Solid jab, still sharp. Just really broken.
