The first part of the post is your opinion, and the second is false. The fact is that media and fans scorecards were overwhelmingly in pac favor
While Boxing25 might underrate him, your post is a textbook example of why he is overrated by some. No way JMM whips his ass with every fighters currently below 140. In fact, I would make him the (slight) underdog vs Loma due to stlyles. I don't see how he troubles Crawford nor even Spence either. Great, great fighter, but not on the same level as Pac nor is he on an higher level than Barrera or Morales either. I mentioned it before but imo, he loses to both Barrera and Cassamayor prime for prime (and yes, I know Marquez was ''older'' than both when they fought).
I don't especially like Bradley but he has a much stronger resume than Quartey. Not even close. Sure that wouldn't be the case had he gotten the decisions vs Dlh and Forrest, but he didn't so he's left without a true meaningful win.
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao Fan scorecards | EYE ON THE RING General consenus is 7-5 Marquez, which means under a 10-point must system Pac 113-112
I've mentioned this before. Mature Boxing fans in general have a tendency to overrate old school fighters. Whenever a mythical discussion takes place about an old school fighter taking on a current fighter 9 times out of 10 they'll give the old fighters the benefit of the doubt. I agree with you beating an over the hill Casamayor is not an indicator on how he would do against Loma, Spence or Crawford. People forget early in his career Morales and Barrera were the cream of the crop.
Thing is, Quartey pretty clearly beat Forrest and I’d argue he was robbed against a prime Oscar whereas Bradley’s biggest win is a bogus decision over Pac, but I do give him credit for beating Márquez. I think Quartey deserves it more than Bradley.

Who was the poster that made a tasteless joke about Korean cuisine at BF and got himself banned? (little did he know the owner of the site's wife was Korean) schmuck .
I'm not a JMM hater per say. I enjoyed his fights as much as the next man but that's irrelevant. What's important to keep in mind is this and let me very clear. I don't question that JMM isn't a good fighter what I'm questioning is does he belong in the HOF. Mexico has produced about 225 world champions throughout history. But only 16 Mexican Champs are in the HOF. Knowing that does Marquez deserve it?
He sure does deserves a spot in the hof. Hes much better and accomplished than cuevas, whos in the hall. Personally, i see him as being at the same level as mab and morales. Sure fire hof, but a bit below the atg level
Oh Jesus Christ! I said I felt Marquez was overrated, but doesn't belong in the HOF???? Lmfaooooooooo!!!! This guy says some outlandish stuff.
I loved watching Marquez, wonderful technique and great to see in full flow. I agree with most that he's a great fighter but falls just below the elite guys. On the flip side his record outside of Pacquiao isn't nearly as weak as some people make out. I do think he was the best of the Mexican trio, though I'm a bigger fan of Morales and Barrera personally.
Yeah, same. Although I'd say Barrera achieved the least of the three and is further away from the other two in that regard than he was in ability.
