Truth is, it has absolutely fuck all to do with his promotion here. Billy Joe Saunders has done far worse things than this and was never blackballed. Taylor just never signed himself to one promotional company here and paid the price for it. It's probably for the best, given he's now the most successful British fighter in boxing, but his lack of profile in the UK goes far further back than 2019. If anything, it was at its highest in 2019 coming off the Regis fight.
