    Yes, but its freakshow boxing. Was celebrity boxing targeting boxing fans?? Not really imo. Same for Paul. His main targets are his teeny boopers fans, and mma fans

    It does show that the level of boxing skill in MMA is around about "YouTube" level. Same as Muay Thai - throw most MMA 'hotshot strikers' into Lumpinee Stadium and a 5x3 full thai rules fight and they'd be lucky to walk out of there conscious, and yes I'm talking about Silva/Jones level strikers.

    So calling out Nate Diaz and Masvidal, who both have 'YouTube' level hands, is a good strategy, let alone McGregor who may perhaps be "Youtube+" level.

    That said, the comparisons remain unfair as strikers get wiped out by a little bit of college-style wrestling or some purple belt BJJ (inc bending toes backwards) so it evens out.

    Yeah but Glory is like K1 - no elbows, no extended clinches or throws, it's not really Muay Thai. He also got beat a lot.

    Correct me if im wrong, but at the higher weights, aren't all the top guys fighting under k1/glory rules? I know that the mt hw champ was a fat moroccan that is absolutely awful and got beat fairly easily by gane

    Yeah they used to back in the day because Lumpinee only goes to supermiddle I thinkand K1 had all the big money, but now people just fight whatever rules work for them on whichever promotion - One promotion allows everything from K1 to full MMA rules.
