By the way guys, this isn't about Chisorah, I've literally never come on here to rag on the guy.... This is about the media outpouring of adulation following arguably the worst performance of his career. :Jest:

I guess he used the term legend to emphasize that he will be remembered for a long time

Bingo. I actually like Derek. He's probably got the best he could with what he had. No shame in that and I've enjoyed almost every fight I've watched him in. It's the idiot Bunce and those BBC twats I have issue here with.

He won't. His name will literally come up like this.... "he reminds me of Chisorah, remember him??"

Though to be honest, he might deserves the legendary status only for his antics before the Klitschko fight. Him spitting water on wald pussy (who for some weird reason stay immobile the whole.time) is one of the greatest troll act ever

The only time I ever hated Chisorah was when he lost to Haye. Hated him for that. He let that fucking mook drag out his career for another 5 or 6 years off that. He had a chance to END Haye that night.

That was the section where he went on to discuss how much of a 'smart fighter' the legend was.

There are comparisons to Lennox Lewis FFS. Even the Bruno one is very generous, but Lennox...

Steve thinks everything in boxing is great. Screamingly, supersonically great. Women, bare nuckle gypsies in a carpark, amateurs, British level journeymen. Thats just Steve Bunce.

He is a genuine lunatic. Really entertaining. Remember when he launched that table at Whyte as well?

IfvKlitschko had hit him the fight woukd have been off and Vitali loses a few million quid. Chisorah throwing a slap, then running off like a bitch then losing, then startingba fight with Haye, then losing to Haye.... That was Weapons-Grade Zelenoff stuff.

I know that. We all know that. But sometimes it is right to highlight some of the more imbecilic crap he espouses.

He never used to be that way. He got banned by Mickey Duff once for saying stuff Mickey didn't want said.

He learned to be a good boy after that.

I fully understand why wlad didn't hit him. But him staying immobile the whole time and licking his lips was just incredibly weird.

I just take him as he is myself - an enthusiast, a fan. I dont think he's faking or on the sell in the main, he just loves boxing and admires fighters

I don't think he's on the make, either. He's a very enthusiastic, involved, hyperbolic, knowledgeable bullshitter. I normally don't mind it but I'm in a bad mood with the BBC as it is and seeing this shite this morning got my heckles up.

My falling out with the bbc was the proverbial overloading of the old camel...

To be fair, that cunt Haye would have found a way to hang around. His ego demands attention and he simply loves money. Isn't he fighting style celebrity shortly or some other dreck?

I think the intended purpose of it all was to butter the guy into retiring. You've earned the respect of the boxing fraternity, we revere & rate you, crowds will cheer for you in ten years dont worry - now pack it in before your brain turns into 5-guys patty.

I like Chisora, like most have said he was good entertainment and came to fight.

The only thing I didn't like was when he went off on Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis that he should have been headlining over them. Of course then there were all the comments from the casuals saying "I only came to watch Chisora, never heard of these other bums", "Chisora should be headlining, nobody cares about these other guys". That bothered me because it was the best two in the division, he knows it was a bigger fight and he knows how tough the boxing game is. Found that disrespectful.

Overall though, I think he's made a really good career from what he had to work with and I hope he retires in good health.

Yeah....I took the same meaning. Sly Stallone & Michael Buffer are boxing legends in a way. It doesnt mean 'elite all time great'.
