Countrymen who don't like eachother

The opposite of the thread I started earlier.

A few examples:

1. Tito and Cotto never liked each other.

2. @George Crowcroft can confirm this one, but wasn't there dislike between Duran and Pedroza? I know Duran was very close to Laguna, but I think he and Pedroza didn't get along.

3. Morales and Barrera are friends (now), but they don't seem too crazy about Marquez.

Others?

 

If i recall correctly, pedroza said Duran was xool with him when he was an unknown, but turned into an asshole.once.pedroza started making some noise. Said duran didn't want to share the Spotlight

Tito and Cotto might be the best example we're gonna get here. I understand they didn't like each other at all. No idea if that's still the case, but probably.

 

From what I remember, Arguello didn't like Mayorga.

 

Obviously another prime example is the dislike between Calz and Froch.

 

This one i MIGHT be making it up, and don't hold me to it, but I seem to remember a story in the early days of this forum that Michalczewski and Golota didn't like each other.

 

Well seems like they never were close, but they did dislike each other

A Champ With Lots Of Clout

 

Yeah, I was gonna say Duran seemed a bit jealous of Pedroza getting attention, in the way that he felt it detracted from him.

Which I think is a pretty perfect way to sum up a young Duran's persona

 

Yeah they hate eachother.

Froch used to hate Groves as well, but I think he realised years later that Groves just wanted Froch to hate him. When he realised he didn't, they seemed to hash it out and mutually respect eachother.

Groves and DeGale hate eachother still though.

 

Eubank and Naz don't like each other, but I feel the dislike is more on Eubank's end.

Naz just enjoys trolling him.

 

Hamed and Eubank.

 

I was actually at an after dinner talk with Eubank and Benn not too long ago in Blackpool and he said he had great respect for Naz, and called him the greatest featherweight from these isles.

So I don't know about that.

 

I remember there being a fair bit of animosity between Froch and Khan, and I don't remember it ever being resolved.

 

Khan and AJ, obviously.

 

AJ, Froch, and Brook all dislike Khan. Jesus Christ, I'm noticing a trend.

 

These rivalries are harder to narrow down in the US, because the our nation is massive, so maybe city rivalries.

Tank Davis and Tevin Farmer hated each other, which is kind of consistent with the Philly vs Baltimore rivalry that exists.

 

Almost everybody here hates Khan. They did when he was up and coming. That's why he went abroad.

You'd think he'd be popular in Manchester, given he's from Bolton, but my dad says everyone he spoke to wanted Gomez to win.

 

DM and Golota hated each other

 

I knew I wasn't going crazy.

 

When he trained at the Wild Card, he would grunt loudly every time he threw a punch and it annoyed just about everyone. So nobody liked him there, either.

 

Not to go off topic and I know that it's not other countrymen but it seemed everyone hated Trevor Berbick.

I guess it depends whether you consider him British or Irish, but Hamed and McGuigan didn't get along. More from Hamed's side though.

 

Trevor Berbick was a piece of shit human being, thats why no one liked him.

 

Steven De Jesus hated a lot of his countrymen, to the point where he shot a 17-year old dead because he cut him off the road

 

Ray Mancini and Harry Arroyo didn't like eachother. I think it was more of Arroyo didnt like Mancini, as he thought he was the best fighter from Youngstown and not Ray.

 

Pabstlik didn't like Mancini either, saying that he went too Hollywood or something like that

 

There is something fake about Mancini imo.

 

Oh shit. Gotta be honest I never knew that much about Berbick, just read up on him. Yeah the hate's not surprising in retrospect.

 

That wasn't hate.

He was high as a kite on angel dust when he shot the kid.

 

The hate between Nonito Donaire and John Casimero is as real as it gets. It all started when Casimero "allegedly" refused to do vada testing. Nonito's wife who is known for having a big mouth criticized Casimero on the vada testing thing. Then Casimero and his people started making memes and trolling her. The straw that broke the camels back was when crazy ass Casimero told Nonito's wife to "snack on this" which ultimately ended the fight between these two countrymen. It's a shame cos it would've been a bad ass fight.
