But seriously.... the cast and acting was top notch! The story was a 20 min story turned into a 2hr movie... 7/10. Which is SOLELY this high due to great acting. Story was bland as fuck.
Have to admit, it’s a dumb metaphor. For one thing there’s still no 100% guarantee our planet is facing climate change due to human intervention as the planet has gone through severe weather changes many times before. A comet heading to earth would likely be a provable scenario that can’t be ignored, propagated or politicized. Secondly the ignoring/minimizing of climate change we see today is more about greed than it is about willful ignorance or stupidity that I believe this film is going to portray it as. It may still be a fun movie but I don’t think the comparison is exactly a good one.
I thought it was pretty fucking mediocre. People are acting like it's some classic satire. No, Dr. Strangelove is a classic satire. Don't Look Up can't hold a fuckin candle.
