REED, you're way too fucking sensitive. You have a terrible tendency to snap at people for no reason by initating personal attacks THEN crying victim. Take your fat, ugly ass on to that pathetic channel that you still cant break 1,000 subs on despite years of begging us to watch your lame content. I'm not the one. Grown ass nigga still talking in the 3rd person like we're still in our 20s.
Kevin Kelley and Junior Jones deserve a mention. They both had nice handspeed with some snap. Another entertaining fight that should have been made between those two.
Lennox? I was pretty impressed with his hand speed/combos at times. Maybe it also was his choice of punches, but he was putting them together pretty fast against Ray Mercer. That right hand counter that dropped Ruddock was fast, as was that 4 punch combo that took out Botha.
The ONLY Reason You're Even Moderating the General Forum, AS REED TYPES, is BECAUSE REED Recommended Your Bitchass, and You CAN'T Deny It... REED Can't Stand Anthony (Just Ask Him), But Even HE Can Confirm This, Motherfucker...You Literally Have the SLIVER of Authority You Possess Because REED Reached Out to You, Then Recommended YOUR Motherfucking Ass to the Powers That Be at Fightbeat.. You've Posted w/REED for 20 Fucking YEARS; He Doesn't Get Confrontational for NATHAN, So Instead of Talking "Fat, Ugly" Shit, POST a Picture of YOU Bitch!!??...Or SHUTthefuckUP!!!... Simple as That... RED
REED, you think I give a shit about having any authority here? This place don't pay my bills . You didn't do me no fucking favor lmao! I did YOU GUYS a favor because boxing discourse had DIED on this forum, and I brought it back. You literally just made it sound like you landed me a fucking JOB or sum. I was DONE with this place. You DM'd me and PLEADED with me to come back, and thats FACTS! I didn't reach out to you and ASK to be a mod. No offense to anyone, but I could give a rat's ass about being a mod. I enjoyed it more when I was a regular poster. And its not like I'm ever on a power trip. I let everybody say what the fuck they want as long as race and family aren't brought into the equation. You have a LONG HISTORY of getting into it with just about everybody on the forum, and we all know it. I'm saying to you what I'm sure MOST the forum would like to say to you, but many are probably intimated. Youre an insecure human being, and it always shows. We all know it, and MANY MANY have said it to me over the years.
LASTLY, so what if you've been following the sport longer than me? You're older than me, so no shit you've been following it longer. It doesn't give you the authority to be some higher power on Joe Louis considering the fact that last time I checked, Joe fought many years before EITHER OF US were born. Its just corny to try to pull rank like that. Shit, Georgie is 18 fucking years old, and I learn stuff from him weekly. Granted, he and I get into heated debates almost daily, but I never pull rank as some higher boxing authority than him simply because I've been following the sport longer, because I'm secure with myself, and willing to be informed. ANYTIME ANYBODY checks you on ANY topic, your first instinct is always to resort to cursing and passive aggressive insults, THEN cry victim when you're insulted back. Tired of your bullshit, and a lot of other forum members are as well. Go fuck off, hoe ass. I'm done. BTW - I used to laugh my ass off when BOSS used to roast your channel, because he was right. You couldn't PAY mfs to sub and watch that grill of yours. Theres 16-year-olds with boxing channels doubling your sub count within a month. How you feel about that? I would feel like shit, cause I know you actually try...
I'd say the problem Louis possessed for the vast majority of his opponents was that he could creep into range subtly and explode at ANY moment; and you weren't escaping him. Sure, he was purposeful with his movement, patient and measured, but that doesn't mean he was slow IMO. You can see on the film he clearly wasn't slow when he was trying to finish somebody off. If anything, slow is one of the last words I'd use to describe anything about Louis.
Hopkins has underrated speed. Kelly Pavlik was not slow and it impressed me just how much faster Hopkins was. Nobody remembers Hatton for speed but his hands were plenty quick but not as fast as his feet
By the standards of the era, Louis punched in combination with speed for a heavyweight. His spoed today is underrated because people don't realize how fast he was by those standards Nobody today thinks Louis was fast. That's why I say his speed is underrated... It was too fast by far for the big men of the era. Especially in volume. Golota isn't remembered as being fast but he showed very quick hands in his brief prime. Faster than that fat fuck Ruiz who is supposedly "fast"
Perhaps but the handspeed expectations we have for 6-foot 200lb fighters have risen somewhat in the intervening 100 or so years.
Dude with a long history of trying to bully and instigate posters then cry victim when they argue back picked the wrong MF to try to do that with, that's all. Carry on .
I think Haye showed single faster right hands. The thing is Haye was sloppy and leapish. But his right hand vs Gurov was fast.
How Fightbeat Thinks It Looks When Talking Boxing :- How Fightbeat Actually Look When Talking Boxing :-
Haye was a fast. A bit faster than he's given credit for now. Hes basically thought of as the cruiserweight version of Thurman.
Both of them Ali wannabes, not in boxing style, but in attempted wit. Ali would be rolling in his grave listening to Haye and Thurman talk trash.
Harry Greb was alleged to be fast back in the day but probably regarded as slow today. There's no proof either way as there's precious little footage.
I wouldn't call Pavlik slow. Not in 06-07. By time he was a washed up drunk and lost to Martinez, he had become slow. Pavlik was a very good baseball player. He a bit of natural athleticism to him.
