Olivares Castillo took place at 118 while Olivares was still in his prime.

He was well past it in the Lil Red fight... and in with a much bigger man.

Rewatched Richie Sandoval vs Cardencio Ulloa (on my page).

    Underrated war.

    Khan vs Kotelnik.

This was probably Khan's zenith. His early days with Freddy Roach he was fighting the way he needed to.

I think after the Maidana fight, he really began to regress.

Watched Spinks vs. Celestine on X's channel. Awesome performance by Spinks. Spent the whole fight wacking Celestine's body with his right hand, setting up the fight finishing right uppercut.

I'm convinced at this point that Spinks is the H2H goat at 175.

I'd pick both Moore and Charles over Spinks, although with little confidence.

    There's not much separation.

Charles, Spinks, Moore, Foster, and Roy are the top 5 of H2H light heavyweights.

I don't think Roy is quite on their level at 175, but I broadly agree.

I would give the Jones who destroyed Hill a chance against any light heavyweight in history. That's not the same as favoring him over them, but the 97-00 Jones was too good to count out, even against Charles or Spinks.

Yup! I've seen it. Great performance by Herrera. Broke Ibarra to the body.

I'd pretty much rule out a win against Spinks or Foster. I suppose he could knock Bob out, but I think it's more likely he gets caught trying. I also wouldn't make him a lock over somebody like Qawi.

Really impressive performance from Herrera indeed, it was almost Chavez like the way he broke down Ibarra. Also impressive knowing that Ibarra had also beaten both Betulio Gonzalez and Santos Laciar (who had beaten Herrera twice) in their own backyard.

Roy unfortunately matches up badly against Foster. Yes, I would favor Bob to win by KO.

Jones vs Qawi... Qawi is live, but I reckon Roy would decision him.

Watched it a few months back. Totally enjoyed it. This is how I had it.

Luis Ibarra v Juan Herrera (flyweight title)

    Round 1: 10-10 Even
    Round 2: 10-9 Ibarra
    Round 3: 10-9 Ibarra
    Round 4: 10-9 Herrera
    Round 5: 10-9 Ibarra
    Round 6: 10-10 Even
    Round 7: 10-9 Herrera
    Round 8: 10-9 Herrera
    Round 9: 10-9 Herrera
    Round 10: 10-9 Herrera
    Round 11: Herrera KOs Ibarra

Total through 10 completed rounds: 97-95 Herrera (actual scores: 97-95, 96-95 and 97-91 all for Herrera)

Ibarra started out so well with his beautiful counters and if he could have kept it mid-ring I think he would have done better, but the lure of the ropes killed him - that and Herrera's left hook to the ribs. Man, everytime he would go to the ropes Herrera would just grill him there. One could see the resolve just oozing out of Ibarra until finally in the 11th, his torso had had enough of those body shots, especially the left hook, and he just wilted to the canvas.

Watched some Prograis tonight - caught up on the McKenna fight. All things considered, it was a really good performance from Regis. McKenna wasn't out special, but he's not bad and better than his record. A tall southpaw is never something you wanna be in with. Regis bashed him to pieces, exactly as he should've done. It wasn't without flaw, though. He jabbed while out if range all night, and had many instances of poor form - although I think this may be because he was trying to use some directional feints while McKenna was tucking up; he needs to work on this if he's gonna stick with it, someone like Davis or Canelo are great at it.

But on the flip side, you can't really be too critical as he beat the living fuck out of McKenna, and his hand speed, power and head movement were brilliant. I've long said Prograis is the most unheralded American talent in boxing. He'd wipe the floor with Haney or Garcia.

Got rocked pretty badly in that one though tbf.

If anything, that just made Holmes take far more pain than necessary lol

Watched Arguello-Olivares in full for the first time since about 1995. Better fight than I remember it being. Action heated up nicely over the second half. Olivares gave a great showing but Arguello ultimately was too big and hit too hard for him.

Just watched Navarrete vs Gonzalez and while it's clear Nav is the best featherweight right now, he looked very beatable in this one. Shakur pummels him.

Am I off my tits or is Shakur's résumé actually pretty stacked for someone with so few fights? Diaz, Gonzalez, Nakathila, Herring and likely soon to be Valdez. Put it this way, he's been far more dominant against those guys than anyone else has.

I know... hence why I said Navarrete is the best at his weight.
