I dont wanna be all doom and gloom. I feel the year is gonna get better, but yeah, right now it isn't too hot. I am looking forward to Shakur-Valdez in a few weeks though. Sadly, I must admit that I'm gonna order Tank-Rolly next month. In fact, a lot of casuals that I know are either planning to order it, or are going to Barclays to see it live. Tank is pretty big on the east coast. But I digress. My point is, no, 2022 isn't a good boxing year thus far; but its still too early in the year to write it off.
I'm really looking forward to Shakur vs Valdez and mildly interested in Canelo vs Bivol. Also, every first quarter of the year is dead.
Charlo-Castano II coming up. Kam-Haney in the summer. Its really not that all that. We've seen worse.
Canelo has to die in order to lose to Bivol. Who in the Hell is gonna give A RUSSIAN a decision right now?
If that's what the man likes. Boxing is entertainment at the end of the day. We all have our favorites at the of the day.
I dont like Tank or Rolly. I simply see the matchup as more exciting than Canelo-Bivol. And Barclays Center is one of the world's best boxing atmospheres - the crowd will be rocking. Canelo and Bivol are MUCH better fighters than Tank and Rolly, but I find the style matchup uninteresting. I wanna see Canelo-Benavidez.
It doesn't make him anymore interesting. Bivol-Canelo almost 100% goes the distance, and might be boring. Davis-Rolly almost 100% ends in a stoppage either way. That's why I'm ordering the latter and not the former.
I doubt Bivol-Canelo will be boring, and I'd rather pay for a match-up between two elite fighters than one elite fighter executing a complete bum.
