Ortiz is an old mummy. I usually don't believe internet rumors. But there is an old black and white photograph circling around that shows Luis Ortiz posing with what looks to be Jack Johnson. It's probably photoshop but part of me wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz was in his late 50s when Wilder beat him. The reason I think that is ...lots of young Cuban athletes lie about their age to gain an edge over younger children. And as far as I know noone has verified Ortiz's age with an actual birth certificate.
