    The answer is no.

Wilder is probably the second best heavyweight in the world right now.
    And who has he beaten?
    The heavyweight division is terrible.

it was bad during Holmes’s tenure….but nobody today, outside of Fury, Usyk, Joshua and Wilder,..would have been in the top 15

There is no argument for having Wilder above Usyk.

Usyk would've been second only to Holmes at any point of his reign.

Usyk is a good albeit clunky boxer.

That said his clunkishness was far less in evidence Vs Joshua

I still don't think Usyk beats Mike Spinks.

His style isn't all that complicated. It is for a retard like AJ, but an ATG like Spinks would figure him out and outclass him imo.

I agree that Usyk's style isn't particularly complicated per se, he's just really fucking accomplished at all the technical assets plus he's a southpaw which adds an extra layer of difficulty on top.

Fury is the only guy capable of beating Usyk, which is why I want to see the fight. I don't see anyone else even getting close tbh.

Usyk can hit, too. He's an underrated hitter. He hurt Joshua better than Wlad did.....it's a sneaky artful power rather than brute power.

Today's division absolutely has less talent but so many intriguing fights relative to the depth of its talent

Usyk Vs Joshua, Fury Vs Wilder trilogy, Joshua Vs Ruiz fights, Whyte Vs Povetkin fights, have all been hugely entertaining beyond the sum of their parts.

It's by far the greatest ratio of talent:excitement the division has seen for some time.

Fury Vs Joshua/Usyk , Ruiz Vs Usyk or Fury, Joe Joyce Vs Joshua etc all still good fights yet to be made.

I don't rate Usyk highly at hw. Sure the Joshua win was good but I never thought much of Joshua to begin with so it will take a lot more than that before I start comparing him to greats, or even very good, fighters from other era's. Especially when we take into account the pedestrian performance vs Chisora

Fury is a spoiler similar to Andre Ward when he is actually at his best. Who knows if he is actually improving and gaining power which would make him an absolute monster. (Not sold on it yet)

I get the feeling noone ever would be an obvious favorite to beat Fury but alot of guys would be favored slightly and should be.

Fury is the sort of guy who needs to be hit cleanly for a few rounds. Then he'll be ready to go. He thrives off touching other guys, moving about, getting a rest. If he gets into a rythym, you have issues.

Even Foreman, Norton aside, usually needed to get in a few rounds of smacking a guy to get him out of there. That distance between hurting a guy, keeping him hurt, getting him out of there needs to be bridged.

Fury might take a big George right to the face, then run off, pull a few faces, make George miss and then touch George up a bit.

I honestly think Holyfield is the guy to do it. Somebody with just enough variety who knows how to get under and inside and not be looking for just one big shot, who can bang to the body and not fall apart first time he gets hit.
