Yeah not only does it appear an easy path, more annoyingly they are in good form. If they were just scraping by trying to hold on i would be more optimistic.

I know Irish and i'm sure plenty of other Pool fans would prefer the EPL, but from my perspective i would prefer they win the CL. Main reason being it would be yet another year City don't get their hands on Europe's most coveted prize. Chelsea remain the only oil club with that to their name and with current events hopefully their last too.

The only positive thing you could cite in Raiola's favour is that Ferguson absolutely hated him...his recent illness does go some way to explain why Haaland has not confirmed his departure plans yet

I knew his name. Knew nothing else. What's the skinny? I like Paul Scholes and know he hated agents.

The "super agent". One of those guys that's supposedly great for his clients based on their transfer fees and big contracts. It's no wonder clubs don't want to deal with him though. Whomever his client is will inevitably seem to be unhappy. Guess what, it's transfer time again or a new contract and more cash in his pocket too. Biggest names on his list right now are Pogba and Lukaku. Going back a bit, Zlatan. Common denominator for malcontents.

When Haaland signed with BVB i was pleasantly surprised at first until i found out who is agent was. While i expected that the "big" teams would come for him anyway if he kept up his goal scoring record, having that guy as his agent it was clear from the start everything was a planned pitstop in search of another big deal.

Rewatching PSG vs Strasbourg from yesterday.

Not to state the obvious but... Mbappe is fucking incredible.

A one man show out there, as Messi and Neymar look like geriatrics.

Yeah, he started this season in poor form but once he hit his stride he's been crazy good. Mbappe and Benzema next season for Real will be scary.

I wanna see what Vinicius chooses to do, long-term.

He's good enough to be the focal point on 97% of clubs on Earth, but he would be living in Mbappe's shadow. I hear that they're friends; so maybe he's okay with that.

Speaking of which, related to my above post, ill defer to yall: How good was Neymar at his peak? Because I know he's fading pretty significantly.

Was he ever on the level that Salah is on? Is Mbappe already on a higher level than Neymar ever hit?

Or was Neymar more comparable to like an Eden Hazard level?

I hate Neymar and always have but there's no question he was an elite talent. Skill wise he's up there with anybody. The problem was his ego, which made him leave an incredible Barcelona side, where he played alongside peak Messi and Suarez, to join PSG. All because he wanted to be the main man and couldn't be that with Messi around. Not to mention he is without question one of the absolute WORST for diving (or flopping as you'd call it in the US). It's so bad I can hardly watch him any more, to the point where I can't even appreciate his (admittedly incredible) skills, the play acting overshadows everything else.

He was a level above the likes of Hazard at his best imo.

I've never hated Brazilians and since childhood they were venerated by me an others as a rule, an axiom, much as England were always rooted against.

I knew nothing about Neymar really until the 2014 World Cup.

I knew then I hated him and revelled in the trashing the Germans put on Brazil.

His performance and Brazil's, especially Vs Columbia. The perfect irony in how his tournament ended, by being actually fouled, in a game in which he had feigned injury while his team mates actually kicked Columbia off the field.

Thoughts on Jarrod Bowen as a player? He's one of my favorite players in the Prem.

Throwback legend. Jairzinho was a BEAST! When you hear talk of great Brazilians, it's always Pele, Ronaldo, Garrincha, Zico, ect., but maybe Jairzinho needs more love:

How did they look? I was hoping that Paramount+ in the US would have showed the ole firm match live, but no. I'll probably have to wait 4-5 days until it's available to watch.

Ah, I thought espn+ were showing it? I thought a draw was broadly fair, but again with Rangers in europe mid week, they turn the tide in the second half. Somehow its us who look knackered.
