It is. And because its overcast i couldnt look at the aircraft. A lot of them sound like twin engine piston aircraft.

This guy has been tearing up our league so far this year. Obviously, he wouldn't be much in Europe, but he's elite in a mid-level league like MLS:

Diego Maradona's jersey from the WC match against England in 86 is going up for auction at Sotheby's tomorrow.

You guys want to chip in together and make a bid?

What you guys rank as the 6-10 best leagues?

It's pretty much consensus that the top 5 are the Prem, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1.

I guess Eredivisie in the 6th spot?

Possibly, or maybe the Turkish or Portuguese leagues. It's really hard to gauge the strength of a an entire league. Do you go by the cream of the crop, or the quality from top to bottom?

That's extra. We'll just have to stand 8n the back and in honour of Diego randomly stick our hand in the air, deny that we did, then slalom past everybody and grab the shirt and hope everybody is so impressed that they just let us keep it.

Yeah I mean Diaz was playing for Porto and they were always getting bashed in Europe. Suddenly he's at Liverpool looking like we got him for half what he's really worth.

Bit surprising given Galatasaray's success recently but Turkeys nowhere to be seen

If he won MLS MVP, and carried Austin FC to the MLS cup, then yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if some England/Spain offers come up.

Here's Galatasaray winger, Kerem. He looked impressive when I watched them last week:

There's guys in MLS who can score goals on a world class level. I mean, we have Carlos Vela, who was once a good goal scorer in LaLiga.

The thing that makes it difficult to tell is the difference in defense. The defense in the Prem and the defense in the MLS is like comparing Floyd's defense to Brandon Rios's.

Yeah, i haven't exactly been keeping a close eye. I suppose i'm thinking a little while back where the likes of Gala, Fenerbahce and Besiktas were semi-regulars in either the CL or Europa.

The Portuguese always seem to produce excellent players but they're probably the most poached league around.

Vela was also in the Premier League with Arsenal and played for Mexico in the World Cup to good effect. His goal against South Africa made him the most hated man in ALL OF AFRICA ....until Luis Suarez entered the chat.

Edit his goal was ruled out for offside.

The Belgian Jupiler league I think is considered higher quality than the Turkish league atm.

I guess the Brasileirao Serie A would be somewhere lower top 10.

The MLS becoming a top league feels inevitable to me. Only a matter of time until its at least up there with the French, Italian etc.... say 10 years?

It probably won't be taken super seriously worldwide until there's promotion/relegation.

There's a lot of talent in the league right now though. Meaning, young talent still in their early-to-mid 20s, not ready to retire old men like the narrative goes.

When is Everton's new stadium opening? Would suck if it opened in the Championship.

Villarreal just showing their level, really. It's easy to not say I wasn't shitting it at half time but really the fight was 3/4 done and still level on the cards. Liverpool have had a lot of good 2nd halfs this season and this was another one..
