The fight was great. The fight was between the two best fighters of the last 50 years. And the crowd was one of the most electric crowds in history.

Not gonna lie, Panch is right.

Hearns-Benitez was one of the most boring fights between ATGs.

Tyson-Spinks was also a Monday night.

I think Tyson-Spinks was probably one of the last big fights to occur on a weekday.

I believe that Holy-Foreman really ushered in the era of big fights happening on Friday/Saturday nights.

So yes, ole Donny T himself possibly changed the course of boxing history.

Makes sense. I was playing in a baseball game at the time next to the closed circuit gym. The crowd came outside for a smoke break during ring walks. I was on 1st base and by the time I was singled to 3rd base the entire crowd was walking out of the gym visibly pissed. I'd love to share that story with Tyson one day.

Trinidad-Mayorga. That atmosphere that night must have been something special to take in live in person.
