Garcia vs Cruz ordered by WBC.

I have my doubts about Ryan taking this fight but Golden Boy may as well do it now because he’s not gonna get any better fighting bums.

I think Cruz stands a good chance to lay him out.

Finally get to see a real test for Garcia and see if he really is what he's hyped up to be. I'm willing to take my humble pie if Ryan actually does manage to beat Cruz in convincing fashion.

 

If Ryan wins this fight, Golden Boy shouldn’t wait to get him a shot at Tank. I don’t see Ryan holding up mentally to have a long career. He’s too immature and self destructive.

If Ryan’s power cannot hurt or at least make Cruz hesitant, he could be fucked.

 

Best case for us as fans, this matchup will end up as a poor man's version of Khan-Maidana.

Ryan is essentially a poor man's Khan, and Cruz is essentially a poor man's Maidana.

 

That's saying a lot, cos AK and MM were some pretty flawed stuff.

 

Neither were greats, or anything close, but Khan was much better than Garcia and Maidana was much better than Cruz.

My point is, hopefully this is a fun fight the way Khan-Maidana was.

I dunnooooooo man. Rolly looks more dangerous than we've been giving him credit for. I mean, Baranchyk couldn't drop Yigit. He swelled his face, but he couldn't drop him. Rolly was destroyed him.

I hope Tank is taking him seriously, cause idk. I officially think Rolly is live next week. Still taking Davis by stoppage, but I truly would not be all that shocked if Rolly stops Tank.

 

I think it all depends on how Rolly can weather that initial rush. Sometimes Tank tends to have lulls in the middle rounds. If Rolly is up to the task, he might have a chance at taking advantage of it.

If your position is that Ryan is better, cool, its an acceptable opinion to have.

As for the second part, I am 100% positive that Rolly is more dangerous for Tank than Ryan would be.

I’m gonna be honest, I think Ryan Garcia actually sucks. He’s just not good. And it’s not a given that he’s better than Rolly. And if he is, he sure as hell hasn’t proved it.

I used to compare him to Khan, but he’s not even as good as Khan was, even in his pre-Roach 135 lb days.

Garcia actually looks a lot like Berlanga. Ponderous and stiff. Predictable. Lacking variety. And can’t take a shot.

It’s debatable if he could beat Rolly, and it’s pretty much a certainty he can’t beat any of the top guys at 135 lbs.

Rolly best shot is if Tank comes out blazing wanting to fuck him up and goes wild.....and Rolly can catch him with something early..first few rounds.
