Mayweather has always had the most trouble with slick, fast and powerful fighters. Like Judah and Mosley. They were able to seriously hurt him and I think Crawford could hurt Floyd at some point in a 12 rd fight. It's a super fight for sure.

If that Sabonis guy can hurt Crawford, Floyd would seriously damage Terry

Crawford has a chance at 147, but he’d lose clearly at 135

Floyd wouldn't fight him at 147.

At 135 he beats him, close but clear, then avoids him.

In terms of pure boxing, it's Floyd. But Floyd had issues... I think he'd struggle sharing the A side with Bud. Floyd didn't take too well to old ass Shane never mind going through an entire promo with Bud.

I think Floyd's pretty close to unbeatable at 135 except on a bad night or except vs the true greats, at that weight.

At 147 Floyd's just so much more diminished. I know this cis FLOYD knew this, and picked his fighters/fights accordingly.

This isn't to diminish Floyd. The guy Ray Robinson and Ray Leonard were no different. You move up and things need to be managed differently.

And we know how Floyd managed things.

Floyd looked better at 140 than 135.

At 135, I think he's a clear underdog against Duran and Whitaker.

Chavez might have beaten him at 135 as well.

Agreed. Not that i would bet against Mayweather but i don't seem him being particularly enthused about a fight with Crawford. Bud has the tools to beat him.

I think it's just that Castillo was really bad for him, so he seemed worse at 135. He looked great there against N'dou.

Agreed. It was the opponent, not the weight class.

I mean, all due respect to Philip Ndou, and it WAS one of Floyd's top 5 best performances but... it was Philip Ndou...

I maintain that Chavez's best chance against Floyd would come at 135.

Overall, I do rate Floyd as better/greater than Chavez.

With Duran and Whitaker, it's different. I feel both of them were superior to Floyd, at their respective peaks.

Crawford is overrated as fuck. Spence beats him, so Floyd would easily.

If you look at their last two opponents Crawford has looked better. Ugas was able to hurt Spence. Crawford has never looked that vulnerable. How is Crawford overrated? Lol

It make no sense to say that pbf wasnt as good as 135, than he was at 130 and 140.

Floyd wouldn't beat Crawford easily at 147. He would win, but it sure ain't some whitewash.

At 135, Floyd wins pretty easily. Bud peaked at 140-147.

I didn't had to think too much to pick Floyd. I just can't see Crawford even giving Floyd a hard time.

Chop Chop Corley and Zab both hurt Floyd with right hooks, so it's overrating Floyd to say Crawford wouldn't give him problems. Crawford ain't Pedolomir or Robert Guerrero.

Floyd beating Crawford like 8-4, or 9-3 sounds more realistic.

I think Crawford gives Floyd more problems than many think.

I pick Floyd to win, but Crawford would be the best opponent he’s fought at 147 IMO.

147 would indeed be Bud's best shot to make it a close fight.

Ideally, I would rather see this matchup at 140. I think both physically peaked at 140.

To take it a step further, I wouldn’t rule out a controversial decision here.

If anybody can play chess with Floyd in the ring, it’s a guy like Crawford.

I can see Floyd starting well early and Crawford coming on down the stretch and catching Floyd with some stinging counters, closing the gap on the score cards.

What makes it really interesting is how well both guys are able make adjustments as necessary. I could see either guy stringing together 2-3 straight good rounds but that won't mean the fight will continue on with the same pattern. Many Mayweather fights see the first half or so being relatively close but once Floyd figures things out and settles into a rhythm it's mainly one-way traffic. I don't see it being that easy against Crawford.

8-4 or 9-3 is not giving Floyd lots of problems

Cotto lost to Floyd 8-4, but gave him problems.

That's the same I'm thinking for Bud. He gives a good account of himself, but is ultimately outclassed.

Bud's biggest problem here is that while he's quick and thinks VERY fast, Floyd is quicker and thinks even faster.

That's a fair assessment. I just think Bud would be more gunshy than Cotto once he realizes he is being outboxed. That's why I think Spence wins a close but clear decision. We'll see.

Based on their common opponent (Porter) I think Crawford looked better. Porter is no worse than anyone Spence has faced. It's not like Crawford fought Porter and Spence is fighting and beating better guys. But I do feel it would be a competitive fight that could go either way. I just lean towards Crawford more.

He's 35 and hasn't beaten ONE HOF fighter though. 147 is a historically stacked division too.
