I think Elie is so simple he would have gone for an afternoon drive with Carlos wearing a blonde wig if Carlos told him he'd have some exclusive footage out of it.
Imagine how big a douche you have to be to cross the line with Fury. Furys idea of training camp is running around in yfronts and pulling people's trousers down. How do you piss a guy like that off?.
Fury seems pretty tolerable and personable, so for him to kick you out, you have gotta be annoying as fuck. Mike is stoned as shit, that's why Elie don't bother him. Mike also doesn't feel pressure from boxing anymore. 2000 Tyson would have thrown Elie through a window.
I think I also heard Elie call Tank vs Ryan: "Maybe the biggest fight in boxing history." Like please, go walk into traffic.
Ellie is a kiss ass whover hes interviewing at the time is "the greatest". He once called Josesito Lopez a boxing superstar jajajs
Max was a lot better to watch before he became another ESPN shill/hot take artist. His superior knowledge of boxing compared to the other people there, and compared to his knowledge of other sports, is glaringly obvious. ESPN was good when I was a kid, and there was no other way to see the highlights. Now, you can find the highlights on YouTube basically right after it happens, so ESPN resorts to these shitty hot take discussions. Casuals discussing Floyd annoy me to no end. I mean, casuals often annoy me in general when their hot takes, but especially when they discuss Floyd. I’ve turned into a grumpy old man and snob when it comes to discussing boxing, which is why I mainly only discuss it here. People buy into his “The Best Ever” crap because of his undefeated record, or go the other way and say he was always running in the ring (he fought numerous fights in the pocket). Another thing that annoys me is when people believe his crap about PEDs and think he was clean and Manny was dirty. Manny probably was taking PEDs (along with like half the boxers out there), but Floyd’s the one who had the suspicious testosterone levels and that mess with the TUEs.
Jesus Christ… He has to be special needs. There’s a video floating around YouTube of Toney calling him out for dick riding every fighter and it’s hilarious lmao
SAS is a notorious Tom, and I dont throw that word around for just any brother. He proved his true Tom-ness when he lambasted Kyrie over his vaccine hesitancy, then handled Rodgers with kid gloves. That was the last straw for me. The black community fuckin despises Screamin A.
He's a lot more famous, so yeah. Only American sports fans know Whitlock. SAS is a huge celebrity. You see even Irish knows who he is. I actually respect Whitlock MORE. Why? Cause he doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's an anti-black brother. SAS ole fake ass overcompensates with his "brother this, brother that, I love that brother" bullshit to try to hide who he is. Whitlock presents his true Tom self with no shame.
Oh, and I 120% believe that SAS had Max fired because Max is more respected by the Black community, and I think it enrages SAS.
I knew about SAS and Skip Paidless primarily because of their shitty calls and phony personas rather than because of any deep dive I'd done into their careers. Obviously we all know about Max from his days getting endless predictions wrong and being basically a smoother less retarded version of Michael Rappaport. Just another white jewish guy who wanted to be black and thought he was tough by proxy. Its all a bit sad really. George Foreman said dumb shit but he was realler than all these bums. I think all this shit can be traced back to the time of Pacheco and Cosell, like with that "Bronx is burning" stuff. Or wailing about John Lennon Shutup and call the game, bum.
Off of the show he was co-hosting with Screamin A, yes. He still works at the network at another show, I think. I dunno. I dont keep up with ESPN unless there's a fight on. They're a dying network, and they only survive because they're funded by Disney. They were relevant in the 90s. They become less and less relevant each year.
I thought SAS getting Max removed was undeniable. I'm fairly sure he admitted it on camera. Stephen A. Smith: Why I forced Max Kellerman off ‘First Take’
Getting openly exposed against the new analysts also. Reddick is handling him (he'll be off that show soon) often. He'll breakdown shot selections etc and SAS will fall back on the: 'He's a rough rider, he gets up in you' shtick and it comes off as lame when he's not up against cut price Skip Bayless (Maddog).
In 20 years, when all his arrogance and history outside the sport is forgotten, he will be considered the greatest ever
They were huge in the 90s. Then again so was HBO boxing and that's gone, totally. Shit doesn't chanhge forever then when it does, it's overnight..
It's seemingly common knowledge that he forced him off. What's not common knowledge , as X was arguing, is why SAS did it, per X it was because Kellerman was making Smith look and sound like Nathan Bedford Forest
I think that’s fairly obvious also. Max won the brothers over when SAS took his stand against Kapernick and took NBA owners over every NBA player not named LeBron. Removing Max and putting in an obvious over the top clown like Maddog makes him look better in comparison.
Kellermans not a good judge of character. He subscribes to a philosophy of fighting old historical battles, writing old wrongs. That's great, and I get it, I do, but it's not a one size fits all thing. It never is. It became farcical by the Jones Vs Calzaghe fight where Max's rigid adherence to the rule meant he had to befool himself and tell people they were watching a totally different fight . I find what Smith did regards Rodgers and Irving totally maddening.. How he approved one guy and disapproved the other for identical fucking decisions. He actually looks a bit dopey.
Lol it's completely the other way around. When all of his ''Money and ''TBE'' gimmick will be forgotten, no one will come to rate him close to the greatest ever. Who's the best fighter he fought that was in his prime?? Castillo?? Hatton?? Corrales?? Maybe Cotto?? Don't get me wrong, these are very good wins but fall way short of what the true legends accomplished
HOLY SHIT YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. PACQUIO, DE LA HOYA, COTTO AND CANELO WERE NOT IN THEIR PRIMES IMO WHEN THEY FACED MYAWEATHER.
