Biggest mismatch out of the following

Leonard-Tszyu

Hearns-Vargas

Spinks-Froch

 

Leonard vs Tszyu only because Tszyu is a career 140 lber who has never fought above that weight. Leonard is a deadly WW who would beat up Tszyu far worse than Phillips or Hatton.

 

Spinks froch is a huge mismatch

Froch would get stretched, but realistically, not inside of 1. Spinks almost ALWAYS used the first 2-3 rounds as a feel out.

Froch gets stopped inside of 5, but he likely suruves the first round.

 

Hearns-Vargas comes close.

 

Spinks-Froch would be bad because the farmer wouldn’t give up and I’m doing so he’d take a really horrible shellacking.

 

I'm thinking Vargas is the one who gets stopped the fastest.

I reckon Froch and Tszyu might go 5-6 rounds before getting KO'd, whereas Hearns probably smokes Vargas inside of 3.

 

I was inititally thinking Tszyu might go like 6, but given how straight up Tszyu was, and given that he was smaller than Leonard, I could easily see Leonard blitzing him just like he did Green and Ranzany.

 

Yeah Vargas doesn’t even have the punchers chance imo because he’s never been a one shot guy. And he doesn’t have the chin to take what Hearns would dish out. Not that I think Vargas has a glass jaw but there’s levels.

Tszyu and Froch would take a longer beating but would get beaten and stopped all the same.

 

I don't think any of the three have a puncher's chance . Leonard and Spinks had excellent chins, and while Hearns didn't have a great chin, Vargas would never get to reach it anyway. Plus, Vargas wasn't a big puncher.

If i had to guess how they go down, I would say:

Hearns KO's Vargas in 2.

Spinks KO's Froch in 4.

Leonard KO's Tszyu in 5

 

Tszyu had a bigger right hand than Ray

Vargas can touch Hearns chin (he probably won't) and he could have the better chin

I don't see what Froch is better than Stinks at, so there's your answer

 

I don't think Tszyu had anything over Leonard.

I also don't think Vargas' chin was any better than Tommy's.

 

Leonard-Tszyu

The others might give an impression of being competitive (if not entertaining) for a bit. Tszyu is more than just a big right hand but against Leonard and at welterweight? I'm not sure what he could really hope to accomplish.

 

But you agree Froch-Stinks is the biggest mismatch of the three

 

I think Froch is the only one of the three who might have a moment or two. And by moment, I mean that Froch might win round 1 as Spinks just feels him out and gives up the round. But once Spinks decides to turn it up (probably in round 3), there's nothing Froch could do.

Vargas and Tszyu would just get blitzed every round.

 

Leonard as usual would start slow and feel Tszyu out like he did a lot of guys but it would get extremely ugly when Leonard turns it up.

Vargas just wouldn’t get a chance to even get into the fight.

Froch is brave and tough but too limited and outgunned to to do anything of significance agaisnt Spinks.

 

Vargas has the best chance. Other 2 have zero chance

 

It's hard to say who's the most screwed here . I think all three have zero chance.

 

Its funny everyone is saying Vargas was not a puncher? He wasnt a knockout artist like Trinidad but had enough pop to put Trinidad on his ass and give De La Hoya a hard ass fight. I think Vargas has respectable ko power. Enough power to drop Chinny Hearns. The only reason I give Vargas a chance is because he was a bigger guy than Hearns. Hearns best weight was 147 at 154 Fernándo was strong.

 

Vargas was a bigger guy than a man who solidly carried 175? Can you go a single day without saying nonsense?

And Hearns' best weight was 154. Everyone knows that... except you, apparently.

Giving Vargas a chance against Tommy Hearns is lunacy. Hearns knocks him cold 10/10.

Froch has a better chance at pulling the miracle off than the other two. Not much better but still.

 

Spinks has the easiest night. Too tall. Too accurate, too hard, he's not going to gas like Ward, he's not going to get sucked into Frochs silly wars. He's a division bigger at the weight and 2 divisions bigger on the night. 2, 3 rounds, tops.

Hearns buzzes Vargas and finishes him brutally.

The Leonard fight depends on how open and reckless Zoo chooses to be..he really can drag this one out, and he hits way harder than Duran with single shots , so if he buzzes Leonard it might make Ray a bit cautious too.

It's entirely possible that Leonard settles into a safety mode and just puts round after round away as he dishes it out.

Ray isn't a die hard like Phillips or Hatton so he's not going to just steam in there and start wailing away

 

Not really. Spinks had a great chin. Froch has no chance at a miracle. None at all.

Vargas would be the only guy capable of a miracle, but it would in fact be a miracle. But again, it's double-edged, cause Nando probably goes to sleep the quickest.

 

Leonard would kill Tszyu. I don't think Tszyu had more power than Duran, and even if he did, he was inferior to Duran in literally every other area.

I don't see Ray fighting cautious. I seee him lighting Tszyu up early and often no matter what strategy Tszyu employs.

 

Disagreed, I think it's Vargas because of Heans' chinny chin. A bit unfair to him in a way but anyone with a bit of power cannot be completely ruled out because of the Barkley I (and Hagler to a lesser extent) fights. Oddly, while I give Vargas the best chance at an upset (bery small nonetheless), I think he's actually the one here that would fare the worst as he would be taken out early and swiftly imo

 

Ole Frochy might actually last the longest because Spinks started slow.

Hearns and Leonard could both blitz guys early.
