Translation: He's probably far off from making weight, and probably not confident about winning.

Yeah, while Broner run as a serious boxer was long gone, he could at least be used as a name to pull casuals in. By pulling out like that at the last minute (no doubt causing big financial loss to the promoter and network), I don't think anyone will be willing to invest serious time and money in his fights anymore

 

Lipinets has replaced AB as the opponent.

 

Much better fight imo. Definitely worth watching now

Broner was probably not in shape and knew he couldn’t win, but he hasn’t been right mentally for a while now. He definitely has a mix of depression and bipolar disorder. I don’t feel for him because he’s brought it on himself. He’ll self destruct any day.

He does. He's a shit fighter, but I don't know how shot Lip is, and I don't know how prepared Lip is.

The version of Lip who destroyed Peterson would beat Figueroa easily.

 

lipinets knew he could be the step in opponent. pbc knew and had him on stand by. figueroa looks more burnt out and out of his best weight class.

 

I don't see how you can qualify Lipinets as shot to pieces. Sure, he hasn't looked too hot recently, but it s mostly due to quality of opponent and style matchup imo. Lipinets was never an elite fighter, he was always going to get blowout by an Ennis and struggle vs a defensive minded fighter like Clayton.

 

How much longer is About Bum going to keep putting his career down the crapper?

At this point he needs this fight more than ever. I remember when he used to flush $100 bills down the toilet.

 

He's done. He won't be offered anymore opportunities.

This was his last chance. Had he won, he could have secured a cash out fight. But that ain't happening now.

 

Broner has himself to blame for all these bad decisions he's been making. He may end up broke in the future but hopefully he gets the help he needs. He's finished.
