Lemieux announced his retirement right after his father was murdered. Glad he he could hang them up with his health intact. Wasn't an elite fighter by any means but he was an exciting, crowd pleasing fighter with crazy KOs. Win or lose he always made for fun fights.
    Enjoy retirement champ.

    Good luck in retirement, LeMoo.

Limited guy. Terrible defense. Not the best chin. But boy oh boy he could punch at 160.

Him and his clueless promoter really messed by chasing for Golvkin instead of Quillin, a far more winnable fight that could have easily sparked into a 2, even 3, fights serie. His most impressive win was vs Rosado imo, totally brutalized him.

Lemieux was probably the hardest punching MW since Jackson IMO. His left hook was monstrous when it landed clean.

Was never a fan of LeMoo personally but yeah there's no argument he was an absolute beast of a puncher. Really fucked up what happened to his dad, don't blame him at all for getting out of the sport.

McClellan was a bigger puncher, but LeMoo could bang for sure.

Actually, I would say that Benn at 160 was also a bigger hitter than LeMoo.

LeMoo never wrecked an iron chinned guy like Benn did to DeWitt.

Too bad he couldn't wreck Eubank.

To be fair Doug DeWitt was already finished by the time Benn got to him. Kalambay, who wasn't known as a KO artist, was able to stop him a round earlier than Benn.

I think Lemieux maybe on par with Benn.

He did but DeWitt really lucked out with that eye injury. Hilton was basically in control before it happened (though it was early).

The best thing Lemieux ever did was put an end to the Camachito circus.

His fight with Rubio was reminiscent of Gamache-Lopez.

    Good luck.

Really? Thanks for pointing it out. I hate Camacho Jr. Was glad when Leija turned him into a papi chulo and I can't wait to watch Lemoo vs Bitchito.
