    Weights down again. I'm 238.6.

Scales, or the bathroom floor, not sure which, is fucking me about.

On a second weighing I was up a pound of weight and up 3lb of muscle.

It's saying my visceral fat is higher this weak than last.

    Here's my opinion: when I started this shit I was 252.6 now I'm 238.6.

Clothes fit better, especially upper body stuff . Face looks younger. Apart from the past few days (zero carbs) where I've been really tired, I've had way more energy. So I'm not going to be beholden to the percentages, I know the fats off, and it can stay off.

Now the real test, big change in the weather down here, those sunny dry evenings are gone, yesterday I was really prevaricating on the exercise till I got asked to go for a walk.

There's always a point where you think you have something whipped and then you ease off.

I had 3 squares of fruit and nut today, and 3 fried eggs. Normally no chocolate and eggs are boiled. It actually requires far les electricity and water to fry eggs than boil them.

I'd fling those scales out, get a ten quid set from argos, personally. They're making things up.

Apropos of fuck all but this had never occured to me before- Milan is the only city in europe with two european cup winners.

    Manchester
    Liverpool
    Glasgow
    Rome
    Madrid
    Lisbon
    Milan
    Moskow

Are cities which have produced two european trophy winning clubs.

Laandan, innit, is way out in front with four.

I'm assuming you mean the old Euro cup as well as the Europa as for Champions League it's only Chelsea no?

For Madrid, there's Atletico. Multiple winners of Europa league but no CL. Arsenal have not won either competition.

Yeah Madrid is on my list. Arsenal have won the cup winners Cup and the fairs cup which is what the uefa cup was called until a name change in the 70s

    Ah, forgot about those competitions.

Dortmund and Schalke (Gelsenkirchen) have each won some trophies and is considered a derbeh when they play but it's not the same city.

Madrid should really have two Euro Cup winners but Atletico bottled 2/3 finals against Real.

London must be the only city to have three different clubs make the final though, surely?

Pretty sure yeah. If you count Europa Belgrade had both Partizan and Red Star make a final.

West Brom v Wolverhampton is considered the Black Country Derby. Not the same city and technically only one is in the Black Country.

Why are swap deals so uncommon in football? I know the economics and systems are much different than in North American sports, but when it comes to transfer rumors it seems there is always a few "Player plus cash" deals floated about but rarely do they come off. Yes there are always a pile of nonsense rumors but a many of them turn out to be correct every single window. When it comes to swaps they only seem to remain as rumors.

    According to the Cambridge dictionary:

a sports competition, especially a game of football, between two teams from the same city or area

I guess that makes perfect sense, i suppose most people associate derbies with same-city clubs as they're typically the most famous.

Right. A club like Norwich City doesn't have much competition around and I think their biggest rival is Ipswich from the next county up.

Southampton-Portsmouth & Plymouth Argyle-Exeter City are two famous South Coast derbies.

Southampton-Portsmouth is one of the more intense derbies in English football too. Shit always kicks off when they meet.

I can't be arsed to look up the name of the derby itself but despite both clubs being non-league the Chester-Wrexham rivalry is really, really nasty. Things cross the line frequently.

Giggs will walk and it will be because of shit like this....

    Screenshot_2022_0819_195425.jpg

There's no doubt that Giggs bashed women up. None. He's a fucking reprobate and everyone knows it.

Football, the Press and the State has spent the past two years- or more- waging a multi-front war against the little guy.

We got barred from our games. Called every name under the sun. Told to get vaxxed and to STFU about players and fans collapsing in the terraces. Told women this and women that and take the fucking Knee and shut up etc

Now, the Establishment rolls out an 80 year old whose recollection of affairs was notoriously subjective and selective at the best of times.

A guy whose suffered a stroke and whose presentation at Court must be some version of elder abuse even if you discount his desire to add one more string to his reputational bow.

Big fucking Sir Alex . Come to save the day.

And the likes of the press pack and footballing officialdom to gin this shit up and pass it off as acceptable having preached from the rafters is quite fucking intolerable.
