We are talking what guys you think could beat RJJ at 175. Now that's past and present fighters of any Era. Holyfield- I know he was a Cruiser Weight but other big name fighters have moved down to make superfights. Very early in his career he fought at lhw. So I know he could make the weight being a very small hw. Arthur Beterbiev-Post Ruiz Jones would have been seriously hurt had these two met. Jones would have to fight the perfect fight to survive and I cant see Roy going 12rds without Beterbiev catching him with something. Jorge Kahwagi- the only Mexican undefeated fighter with a 100% knockout ratio. Fought at cruiser but at 175 he would be able to move around a lot faster and catch Roy with something. Usyk-he said he was willing to move down for Canelo why not Roy. Roy at 175 fought like he fought at 160 but post Ruiz Jones didnt have the same athleticism at that point which he heavily rellied on. His speed and reflexes were gone. Usyk is the whole package and his educated jab alone would give Roy problems. I see a mid round stoppage. 100%
Charles, Spinks, Foster, and Moore would be the only 4. Roy should be favored over any other light heavy in history. Beterbiev is not beating Roy. Usyk and Holy are crusierweights. Fair or not, the thinking is that Roy's chin is not too good and that's the key to beat him. Problem is that you also need to be fast enough to be able to catch him, not an easy task considering his otherworldly reflexes. Spinks and Foster definitely could and should be favored imo. Beterbiev has a puncher's chance but I'm not sure he could pull it off. Kovalev would have a far better chance Tarver woyld always be a threat, even in Roy's prime.
Retired undefeated 12 wins 12 kos. The guy is a beast. He just needs to graze Jone's chin and He'll put those lights out like Tarver did.
People tend to only want to remember the 35 year old and older Roy Jones Jr. The one that moved down after dominating John Ruiz who outweighed him by 33lbs. The Roy Jones prior to beating Ruiz was unbeatable. Had Roy retired after beating Ruiz he would be looked at differently!!!
And for those who claim Roy was shot forever let me remind you... in the last 13 fights of his career.. he went 12-1.... and that includes a stoppage win over the bare knuckle champion bobby gunn.... let that sink in

That's a respectable list. I can admit that the mid-70s Galindez is a threat to Roy. Harold Johnson, a beautiful technician, but I think perhaps a bit more firepower and dynamism is needed to negate Roy's physical gifts and speed of mind.
I feel like almost noone would be favored over him, but he was exposed late in his career to have average punch resistance. Any of the big bangers throughout the years would be live. Making him lead and slowing down the pace seems to have been the ticket against Roy.
Kahwagi is a fuckin sad case of what men have become.....I mean that chap must have zero self-awarenes. Have you seen the shots of him with his fake pectorals?
