WBA has ordered Bivol to defend his title against Zurdo. Looks like Bivol vs Beterbiev will have to wait, but we still have a very good fight on the way. Should be a good one. https://mobile.twitter.com/MichaelB...^1546621497925672962|twgr^|twcon^s1_&ref_url=
If you can make the weight how are you a weight cheat? I can understand coming in over the limit and just paying the fine like Mayweather did for the Marquez fight. Then yeah thats a weight cheat. As far as I know once you make weight you can blow up as much as you want. There is no rules saying you cant. The alternative would be same day weigh ins but then you would have more deaths.
There wouldn't, it'd deter dangerous weight cuts. Most fighters would still choose health over a weight advantage and the ones who don't made their own bed.
if they had same day weigh-ins, guys would fight in their natural weight classes....it wouldn't be a contest of who is better at dehydrating
Bivol Doesn’t Completely WIPE His Ass w/Zurdo as Beterbiev Did w/Joe Smith, But Bivol Wins Pretty DECISIVELY, Nonetheless… REED
I've never been particularly impressed with Ramirez, and he clearly lacks ambition. Nonetheless he could present stylistic problems for bivol and make it a dull fight
Anyways its a moot point. Bivol will pay Zurdo step aside money. Since Zurdo lacks the balls to take a real challange he'll be more than happy to oblige. Since when tf did wba mandatories mean anything.
Not surprising Bivol seems like the kind of Champ that wants to fight the best. Not just looking for a big payday. I think Bivol Beats Ramirez easily.
Those post don't necessarily contradict each other. Ramirez has a track record of not fighting the very best from 168 to 175. This will be his first major and real challange as a pro. I admit I didnt think the fight would be made with the Canelo rematch hanging in the air. But I don’t have a crystal Ball to see the future. Its a good fight cant wait to see it.
Fuckin weight cheat. Despite all the weight, he has very very mediocre ability. Bivol will school this bum.
I'm looking forward to it. This is going to be a competitive fight. People may be counting Ramirez out calling him a bum. But he's a huge 168 pounder that has power, youth and heart on his side. I think Bivol wins but it wont be a walk in the park. Ramirez looking focused and motivated in training camp.
Fight is this weekend. Curious to see if Zurdo can actually put up a better than expected effort against Bivol.
Zurdo Loses CONVINCINGLY, By UD…Throughout This Thread, the Only REDEEMABLE Quality Anyone’s Mentioned is Zurdo’s SIZE… Bivol 9-3, 8-4 @ Worst, if Not a LATE Stoppage… REED
Yeah I'm not a fan of that guy. Hope he gets knocked out. But if I was a betting man I might put some money on Zurdo just in the off chance he can pull an upset. Bivol should win clearly.
