I think City will win the league this season but I think a new title challenger will emerge, just not sure who it'll be.

It's too easy to look to and make too much of the absent Mane as another key missing ingredient but he always set the standard to these eyes. City to win the league but I'll be surprised if the points total is as high as it's been the last few years

I think a team will stay with them into the new year until they pull away at the end. Like you said in an earlier post, there do seem to be some very good sides outside of the usual suspects this year.

Liverpool still nearly got something. They better click and soon or they'll be chasing Spurs etc for buttons.

Ten Haag drops Maguire and Ronaldo Man Utd suddenly become good. You could imagine Erikson and Casemiro being a really well balanced pairing, too. A goaly with feet in January and maybe they're a half decent outfit by the end of the season

Only problem is he's not around Christmas and by April injuries will have caught up with him. The others aren't much cop without him.

Not sure how true it is but i've read Ronaldo has shopped himself around to various clubs all over Europe including BVB. What do they all have in common? Champions League.

From the sounds of it the selfish cunt just wants to add to his CL goal tally. Probably worried Messi has a chance of surpassing him.

Not sure what else could realistically happen. The guys is on something like half a mil per week? How many club can afford those wages let alone would be willing to pay them? Perhaps he's offered to take a pay cut, not sure. If would have to be an extremely drastic one and even then the list of clubs willing to take him would be short. Let's also not forget that he still has a contract with United. It's not like they have no say in the matter.

I'm sure Utd will ultimately release him from his contract if he finds a club. Comes down to him swallowing a massive wage cut, Mendes is going to have to use all of his bad news communication skills to sweeten the pill.

Yeah i think out of all the obstacles the United contract is the least of the problems, but i'm not sure that they'll let him just "quit" without anything in return. I suppose not paying that insane salary could be considered more than enough, but not a guarantee. It could also depend on which club he finds.

I reckon they'd just be happy to free up the wages & get shot of him albeit I just cant imagine any smart team in a big league taking him. He could probably still do a great job for a possession dominant Porto/Benfica/Ajax/Rangers (lol) at domestic level but at the sharp end he cant cover the yards

Genuine butterflies for tomorrows chanpions league draw. Such a huge potential swing between easiest possible draw to hardest possible - between a realistic prospect of last 16 or just praying to pick up 2 points and avoid a tanking

Never mind that. 3rd Round Carry On Cup draw is tonight immediately after Newcastle Uniteds game. :Jest:

Will you be tuning into PSV Vs Rangers tonight?

Imagine running into Die Hunde in the KO stages.

I got the inside word of what the draw is. They have decided to scrap the seedings and it's just one large pot. Celtic have been drawn with Citeh, Bayern and PSG.

They'd be as well off. Celtic could conceivably best City as much as they might best Victoria Plzen or Shattered Donetsk

Sure, in a head to head. At the highest level no result should be too shocking. The odds of having a + record and qualifying for the next round against all three sides aren't too good though

I don't like Dortmund's chances whatsoever this year. No Haaland removes a lot of basically guaranteed goals. They've made some signings on the defensive end that looked good on paper but have been shite so far. I ran a CL draw simulator and no matter how many times i do it the group looks scary. Ten years ago i wouldn't have been so worried. Group of Death? Bring it on. Now the only hope is Europa.
