Rangers are being ripped apart by Ajax. I refer again to my point last night re: Celtic. Rangers looked alright in the UEFA Cup last season, but this is a very different level.

I don't think Rangers are gonna take any games. I think they have Napoli next at Ibrox.

Napoli will spank them as well.

Arteta and Edu agree on the system and players so Arsenal needs to improve after the roster clear out and rebuild. I do see signs of it so I can't complain much.

Real Madrid might be but theres little to suggest that Ajax are a different level to Dortmund or the Leipzig Rangers put out last year or even the PSV Ajax pipped by 2 points to the title for that matter. Rangers were just shite

Liverpool should be four down inside half a hour. Wonder who Klopp will berate and lambast for this first half shambles? Should be him and his staff.

Been a long time since I saw LFC ripped apart like this. They are defensively a shambles.

Look at it as a success. Their goal difference is -3 instead of -4 like a certain other club.

They should appeal for an immediate CL spot in lieu of this evidence.

Got caught in a crazy storm by Tower Bridge this evening, waiting for it to chill out a bit, then gonna get the tube back and have a nice relaxing J when back in Chiswick.

Maybe LiVARpool turn this around but, to me, they look like a team at the end of their cycle. One of the things that made Fergie such an annoyingly good manager was his ruthlessness is recognising that even the best sides only last 4-5 years and that, after that, you have to build a new one. You then have to have the balls to chase out legends and loyalists and replace them with something new and better.

Klopp looks to be at that point IMO.

Yes its close but not quite that. He's already moved on a load of the old guard like Lovren, Lallana etc, even Mane, prematurely.

He's got an injury crisis and he's trying to bed in kids.

He's also playing Milner who is shit. Gomez who is shit.

You're not wrong , just not totally right, yet.

That beating has been coming for some time.

I always rated Mane for the record but I have to give a shout out to Salaco for pointing out how crucial he was to that team and the high press in particular. In all my time watching the Prem, the biggest single player loss to a team, for me, was Kante leaving Leicester and joining Chelsea. Everyone was banging on about Vardy and Mahrez, who are fantastic players don't get me wrong, but Kante was for me the one player that won them the league that year. It doesn't happen if he's not in the team, lose Vardy or Mahrez and they still might do it, but without N'Golo Kante? No chance. Mane might have been that guy for Liverpool, the difference-maker, and I didn't see it. It's Liverpool, I'm sure you'll sort out a replacement in time, or somebody else will step up to the plate. You'll be fine but it's a transition phase I admittedly didn't see coming.

I know it's nothing new but I think you also have to look at the insane transfer fees and wages of their competitors. Klopp has done a terrific jobs most of the time getting the best out of the players. The club has also scouted very well and most of their high priced acquisitions have worked out very well or even exceeded expectations. However when clubs are spending 2-300 million in a single transfer window it's nearly impossible to keep competing at the same level year after year no matter how tight a ship you run.

Yeah it sucks what happened to them. First Kante, then a season later Mahrez. If Vardy was 10 years younger there's no way they would have been able to hold on to him too.

What really difficult for the mid-table on down sides is not necessarily being able to afford or find players, it's keeping them. It's easy to say these clubs should just refuse to sell. Problem is most of these players of these guys want to leave for the money and "prestige". You not only might retain a player that will not exactly give 100% but by playing hard ball, it could also hurt a club's chances of signing new players. in the future if you develop that reputation Agents will avoid you like the plague. If it were up to them they would transfer every client they have every window.

We've basically had this same conversation a million times now i know. :Jest:

Only solution i can see is putting a strict limit on the amount of transfers that can be done in any one season. Not the amount they can spend, but the amount of signings. Spend a billion on a player? Fine. You have one signing left. You want to get someone else do it now or in January. Your shopping spree is over regardless of how much money you have to spend. Gold plate your stadium or something. Two players is just a thought. Another idea would be to strictly limit signings from within the same league even further and/or add massive "tax" on top of it. Clubs like Bayern couldn't so easily improve their own squad while simultaneously weakening their direct competition. Going back to Chelsea if they were limited in such a way the purchase of Kante would have been something of gamble rather than another routine purchase.

Hope Potter (and anyone else that ever goes there) fails miserably at Chelsea. I hope Brighton gets some sort of compensation for losing their coach out of nowhere. Great start to the season derailed because a "bigger" club is dysfunctional.

    232.6 lb this morning.

Those two runs on Wed and Thus and Feebles Saturday Morning Special of last week no doubt helped because there was no seriously heavy exercise thereafter , just about 5 1-hour walks after work with some jog mixed in.

Obviously 6,7 hrs of working helps too.

Body fat now registering as under 30% for first time and visceral down to 14.5.

Yes Hut, I'm still reading the tea leaves :Jest:

Blame Potter.....it's ultimately down to him. How much money does he need and how much more money were Chelsea offering?

Too many managers make this argument, and have made for them, that they've"earned" this move. They've "earned" their shot.

Moyes to United. Fail. Kidd to Blackburn. Fail. Hodgson to Liverpool. Fail. Rodgers to Leicester, slow motion intermittent Fail with some success. Olly to United , Extended Play Fail.

Whit!? It's like pushing a stone up a hill and then being told you've "earned" your trip off the ledge.

Yeah that's a shame, I've been a fan of Potter since he was in Sweden. Now I have to hate him because he's joined those cuntbags.

Putting this stat together with GVBs 'I give up its hopeless' comments afterwards & Im sensing a Lennon 2020-21 style dressing room bust up/morale collapse.

Game momentum taking into account possession in opponents third, shots, corners etc. Celtic with some reason to feel encouraged, Rangers got their arses ruined

Is that 6km per player ? Or over 10 outfielders?

10 outfielders is barely 500m each so I'm not sure what he's saying, he wants headless chicken to defeat actual footballing skills?

Teams without possession nearly always do much more running so the implication is that they didnt put a shift in. Hardly conclusive stuff tho youre right
